Fort: Summercourt
Appearance: The small fort is fronted with a huge gate and strong battlements. Homes are built from sturdy tan granite, with accents of a brown granite. The little street they have is paved well with sandstone. A manmade well lies in the center of town. The three nobility live in a large T-shaped manor backed up to the mountainside. Buildings are There are sparse lodgings for the 15 guards who live here, and space for up to 7 traveling families to take up temporary residence. Not much else to town.
Location: up in the mountains, right next to the border with the country of Angrova. high altitude.
Climate: Snowy in winter, cold all other seasons. Summer sees a high of 50 degrees Fahrenheit. wind is always whistling through the surrounding mountains. pretty dangerous if you're not right in town. dragons live around there, its by the border, high falls... etc.
Population: Small village. ~15 civilians. Not many people are allowed to live here, because it's the border patrol location, mostly. Lots of guards live in the barracks here. When not guarding, the guards run small businesses from their homes.
Politics: Marquis Gallian (human), High Commander Kerah (Krokorok halfling), and Constable Darns (Torkoal halfling). ~15 guards, because this is the first town that visitors come to, and needs to be heavily guarded. Some of the strongest guards have been stationed here. Banner is gold with a Sandslash.
Exports: everybody knows how to work the living rock. With the altitude, gems are not nearby, and most of the available soil is dry and rocky. Near the Windy Timberland they are able to grow some meager crops, and ones that can survive the hardy climate. Rye, rye beer, onions, leeks, garlic, apples, cider, pears, perry, plums, common spices, building stone, metals, firewood, and coal.
In the time of the original invasions from Angrova, each ruler from each city put aside their differences to convene in this mountainous area to work together against a common enemy. The settlement that was later established here is named for the sense of cooperation and camaraderie that the legendary council established.
