Capital: High Ash
Appearance: Large and well-built. In the middle of the paved courtyard inside the walls, a lone ash tree stands. It's very large for an ash tree, and is the city's namesake. The castle and the more important vendor shops are located inside the inner battlements, everything else is allowed to sprawl out around the surrounding countryside. All buildings and houses have breathing room. Buildings are made from slate and spotted dolerite (grayish blue rock) and sturdy ash timbers sealed with tar. The roads are well-paved with cobblestone, with blue flagstones for accent.
Location: north-east, with a forest surrounding it and steep mountains to its back. the first settlement, oldest. that's why its the capital.
Climate: dry to slightly humid weather. Many types of ash tree grow around here, and they change color with the seasons. The city is usually windy. the ground is fairly fertile, and the farms tend to be on the west side of the town.
Population: huge city. ~250 civilians.
Politics: High King Rodyval (a Noctowl halfling) and Commander Mithra (a Skarmory halfling). ~12 city guards. Banner is olive green with a Torterra
