From the moment Jeff stepped into the town he was being watched by every person on the street and by some of the people that were in their houses as well.they seemed to look more at the sword on his back then directly at him, but it was not fear of the weapon, as he would have thought, but it was envy that he saw. They wanted it and they looked as though they wouldn't mind killing him to get it. The only thought he had was 'I killed to get it and I'll kill again to keep it'. Still he walked cautiously and made sure that he didn't send out a "hey!I'm new here and chances are I couldn't kill a man that was expecting a fight before I have the chance to attack" type of signal.
One man walked up to Jeff, unlike the others he seemed niether envious nor afraid either one.
"What say you to a battle of blades?" the man said, "Name's Kota and It'd be good fun killin' you."
"Well 'Kota' I not currnetly up for a 'battle of blades' at the moment" Jeff replied.
"It wasn't a request, ready or not you'll fight, or you'll die." Kota smiled slightly with those words as he drew his sword. Jeff thought back to the book that he had been reading and remembered the sword from a picture.
"you expect to defeat me with the Arubi Capris?" Jeff made himself look more confident, "That petty weapon isn't even worth my time." This made Kota back off a few steps.
"You...Who are you and how do you know of my weapon!?" Kota was alert.
Jeff wasn't expecting to be asked his name so he quickly made up something, "The name's James Allens, and your weapon is so weak anyone here could destroy it without even thinking twice." This made kota angry and he just ran into battle head-first. Jeff, or James, rushed into the fight as well and the Jaggetana cut right through the Capris without even inching backward a little. After that Kota fell as his broken sword turned to dust on the ground.
"Impossible!" Kota yelled in a fit of rage, "how could you have done that!"
"This is the Arubi Jaggetana, no 6th class weapon can hope to stand against it." James(as is now known) showed the sword to the people, "You knew it was of the Arubi, but you didn't know its name." He had brought about a lot of attention, but the worst of that was the attention of Maxine Harley, Max for short.
