He took his time getting back to class, he wanted to spend as little of an amount of time as possible in class. He got the feeling that he was being watched so he quickly whipped around to see who it was, no one was there and he became confused, but quickly let it go and began walking again. He stopped at his locker to put away the game he had been playing, and out of the corner of his eye he saw something move.
He looked in the direction of the movement and whispered, "who's there? John,Jessie is it you guys?" With that a dark smoke began to enter the hallway and Jeff's first instinct was to run. The smoke moved more like a liquid than like a gas as it bathed everything in its path with darkness.Jeff made it all the way back to the classroom, but the moment he laid his hand on the door he was hit by a wave of smoke and was swept away.
The school bell rang and still there was no sign of Jeff. John checked the restroom while Jessie checked the hallways, but neither was able to find him.
"Where do you think he could have gone?" Jessie asked.
"I don't know, but wherever he is, I'm suprised that he didn't say a word to us."replied John, "I would have expected him to at least let on what he was going to do, or where he was going to go or something."
"I just hope he's alright..." Jessie was obviously upset. They heard what they thought was Jeff and turned around, but there was nothing there. Soon they had decided to just go home and not waste another thought about looking for someone who was obviously not there.Jessie was a bit more reluctant to leave then john was, but John was relly tired and it was getting late. Jessie finally gave up on the search and went home, without someone to walk with her...
