12 Days of Anime: Ef - A Tale of Memories

Episode 6 (Day 6)

I didn't pay as much attention to the opening this time, but I did pause and try to read a bit more in the opening. I also payed a bit of attention to the lyrics, which is another aspect of the opening that I love.

So, since it seems that Kei and Kyosuke are making a movie together (with or without Kei's permission), and Renji and Chihiro are writing a novel together, I wonder if Hirono and Miyako will make a manga together, thus connecting the three couples through their stories. That'd be pretty cool.

And it seems like, despite all the other things that are going on, Kei is really attached to Hirono and is almost refusing to let him go, almost trying to force Miyako out of the situation. Reminds me a little bit of Kousei/Kaori/Tsubaki in Your Lie in April, except this one's more on the assertive side. It almost kind of bugs me, to be honest. I hope that Kei can clear up her vision soon, or else things will only continue to get messier.

And of course, animation and music are still as beautiful as always.

So at this point, I'm really liking the story for the most part, I just wish Kei wasn't so stubborn. I hope she loosens up soon, or else I think the story could really start suffering from it.
