12 Days of Anime: Ef - A Tale of Memories

Episode 5 (Day 5)

I'm glad that I paused and read parts of the text in the opening, as I realized that it reflects the story that Chihiro and Renji will be writing. I couldn't quite get all of it (so it's not quite a comprehensive story), but I still got many details. I hope sometime it'll go through the entire story at once so I can understand all of it. Also, it is pretty good writing - the story in the opening certainly has my attention.

As for the story's writing, well, we got to see the circumstances surrounding Chihiro's accident... it's sad, really... reminds me of Anohana... but it makes a bit of sense. I feel really bad for Kei, who seems really torn between so much. Though she's finally met Kyosuke (and he's asked her out), which may start the path to her heart being mended. And we have more of Renji and Chihiro, which, I'm not going to lie, is always a treat. Though it looks like Chihiro has a lot of things holding her back - it'll be cool to see her overcome these things.

And, after looking at this show's sequel (Ef: A Tale of Memories), it makes me excited to watch that, too. It follows this show's more side characters (which are all interesting too, by the way), and it'll be cool to see that. I'll probably watch it sometime in the future.

This show might become my favorite romance (though it's hard to beat Amnesia, that's for sure).
