Prologue

"Sorry Melody," her father began to explain with a huge grin of joy for this new life on his face. "This is your new baby brother." Admittedly, Melody was a little disappointed, but upon seeing the baby lie there, with all the blessings of heaven on his face, she could not help but feel compassion towards him. She knew right then and there that this was how it was meant to be; she was going to be the older sister to this boy, whom would surely grow to be proud and strong like his parents. She also knew that she would also be his ultimate source of support, his guide when lost, and, most importantly, his friend when the world seemed to crashing down on him. Committing these qualities to heart she made it her personal mission to fill in all of those roles to the letter, starting from that moment on.

Accepting the turn of events without further strife, Melody asked her parents with renewed confidence, "So what are you going to call him?"

"You're not upset that you didn't get a sister?" Ariel knew that Melody had set her heart on that since the news first arrived, so she was rather curious and concerned for her well-being.

"Not really. Or at least, not as much as I thought I'd be."

Relieved, Ariel smiled again as she responded, "That's good to hear. Anyway, your father and I were thinking of calling him—”

Suddenly, she was cut short by an unexpected commotion generating from outside of the palace. Before any of them had time to react, the balcony doors bursted from their hinges, scattering broken glass all over the chamber. Upon seeing the ominous green light spilling into the room they knew in their hearts exactly who it was, but did not want to believe it. They knew in their minds that it was impossible for this wretched person to possibly be around, especially considering the fate bestowed upon them the last time they saw her. However that laugh, psychotic and full of malice, was too unique to belong to any other creature. And sure enough, as realization swept over them harsher than any tidal wave, causing them to draw closer to one another, Morgana slithered her way into the room.

"What's this? Not happy to see me?" she sneered at them. "Or is it, you're just so happy to see me that you're speechless?" With that she started cackling again.
