So, here’s my entry to the NYAF mascot competition. I’ve spent so long on this, much more than a usual picture.

But yes. When I think of New York, I think of taxis and the empire state building. When I think of Japan and Anime, I usually think of schoolgirls, and definitely pink hair.

The yellow in the background is based off Japan’s old ‘rising sun’ flag. The skyline is, of course, the NY one, with the empire state building. And the taxi is a… taxi? It’s the first time I’ve ever drawn a car, so I hope it came out all right!

I hope I do all right, but everyone else’s pictures are amazing as well. So good luck everyone!
