Welcome to my world.

I'm SomeGuy, 29 years old, residing in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've studied English Literature, Chinese Martial Arts, and am currently pursuing careers in writing - possibly even in the anime industry itself.

And I work for this site.

And you should be watching Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad.
Or watching Ranma 1/2.
Or learning about the Shinsengumi.
Or planning to visit Vancouver, The Best Place On Earth (actual marketing motto).

Here at the "Smallville" page, I have my personal blog where I'll post about anything and everything. If ya need me or otherwise need to know anything from/about me, here's where I'll be.

If you're really looking for my more professional, site-type stuff, you wanna head over my "Metropolis" world.

Secret Experiment . . .

Alright, some of you may or may not hate me for this, but I'm so curious right now . . .

Alright, basically all I want you guys to do is to listen to this following sound file; you don't need to change your volume settings, and I promise it won't be suddenly loud and scary or anything:

Comment below on what you think of this. Get your friends to listen and comment as well.

I'll explain the rest tomorrow (unless you can't wait and decide to do some e-snooping of your own afterwards).

Two things . . .

One:

Have you all read Beck's Ringu and Kaidan essay yet? If not, what the heck's wrong with you? It's a damn good read, guys. Seriously.

No, seriously. Do it.

Two:

I've been sleeping in way, way too much these days. Staying up too late, knowing there's nothing for which I specifically need to wake up . . . leads me to wake up far too late past noon. I'm not feeling proud about that, parents are starting to get really concerned about that . . . not so fun in the long run, feels like.

I need a free bagel thing in the mornings, maybe . . .

New Niche Movies to Find . . .

Actually, this is plenty-fitting considering my recent discovery of the joys that is "Hard Candy". Probably you'll either get what this movie's really about or you won't . . . but it's just awesome. Come see trailer if you've got a couple minutes to kill:

(I just realised the brilliance of having this movie title around the same time that Timey's gettin' all that dental work done . . . bwahaha . . .)

Other than that, mostly uneventful day. Played some GTA, lectured some caption-writers . . . y'know, same ol'.

Ants and GTA . . .

May 5, 14:25. Alpha Company scouting Zone W, Area C. Previous scouting group, Charlie Company, still missing, presumed lost. Recon and gather still in effect... "Alpha Leader, report in..." "Roger, this is Alpha Leader, we...

YouTube Links from VGCats

The new VGCats comic is pretty good.

Scott also happened to link to like, a million different links to different stuff on his news page, especially a lot of video links. And, seeing as we can only show off one YouTube per post, I had to decide which one got the embed and which just got the link.

It was down to either Caramelldansen on piano, or some silly Mario Bros. song . . .

Hard decision, honestly . . . but, alas. So first off: Caramelldansen on piano!

And second:

Ah, KY . . . good times. Other than that, this house has GTA4. I really need not elaborate on that one, I think.

EDIT: Oh snap, Adam's playing around with the site right now! It's 3:45pm, and the site's dancing around drastically in terms of format and changes.

I think I'll let him finish before I finish off my theO stuff . . .
