Welcome to my world.

I'm SomeGuy, 29 years old, residing in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've studied English Literature, Chinese Martial Arts, and am currently pursuing careers in writing - possibly even in the anime industry itself.

And I work for this site.

And you should be watching Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad.
Or watching Ranma 1/2.
Or learning about the Shinsengumi.
Or planning to visit Vancouver, The Best Place On Earth (actual marketing motto).

Here at the "Smallville" page, I have my personal blog where I'll post about anything and everything. If ya need me or otherwise need to know anything from/about me, here's where I'll be.

If you're really looking for my more professional, site-type stuff, you wanna head over my "Metropolis" world.

Get home from work. Start watching some Fairy Tail.

Curses . . . kick ass, but curses . . .

EDIT: Also, due to this, I got a Twitter account finally.

Love Thy Castle . . .

Incredibly satisfying season opener. It actually kinda feels like it's getting funnier in just the way everyone interacts more, like Ryan and Esposito horning in on business that isn't technically theirs. But they gotta back their girl up, so they'll go to the ends to see it through.

Follow that up with so many well planned double-meaning dialogues that just work on every level, and another pretty decent mystery. It was actually kinda fun, when Castle and Beckett jumped up and went "I know who the killer is!", I had the commercial to think about it. And then I went "OHHHH I know who the killer is too!!!"

And then it's just all so sweetly pulled together, and Fillion is still awesome for being Fillion, and Katic is looking incredibly glamourous right now . . . oh, and when Castle was all "I missed you too..." and she does that shy smile . . . heart-melting. Absolutely heart-melting.

I do love this show . . .

. . . and since I'm on a roll, have another YouTube! I didn't learn until just the other day that Bon Jovi wrote a song with "Superman" in the title. I listen to it and know right away it's one of those songs where you listen to it and go, "yup, this is a very me kinda song . . ."

I'm totally wearing a Superman t-shirt right now, too . . .

. . . more importantly, though: CASTLE IS BACK!!!

Love At First Episode . . .

I've officially decided that Nathan Fillion is a performer who I would watch in anything.

Case in point, I bought season one of Castle on Wednesday after I sold a set to a woman on Tuesday. I had never seen an episode of it in my life, and of the half I did see, I was on the computer so I wasn't really paying attention.

One episode later, I can already say I love this show. I guess I'll add Castle to my regular television this year.

Shiny.

EDIT: Episode 9, about a child kidnapper . . . and I see Detective Kate Beckett holding the exact same big green Ikea coffee mug that I have.

I think I have a new favourite show for 2010. Fuck yeah.
