Welcome to my world.

I'm SomeGuy, 29 years old, residing in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've studied English Literature, Chinese Martial Arts, and am currently pursuing careers in writing - possibly even in the anime industry itself.

And I work for this site.

And you should be watching Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad.
Or watching Ranma 1/2.
Or learning about the Shinsengumi.
Or planning to visit Vancouver, The Best Place On Earth (actual marketing motto).

Here at the "Smallville" page, I have my personal blog where I'll post about anything and everything. If ya need me or otherwise need to know anything from/about me, here's where I'll be.

If you're really looking for my more professional, site-type stuff, you wanna head over my "Metropolis" world.

If Site Updates Are Slow . . .

New computer in the works. Expect minor downtime.

Beyond that, I'm quite excited.

Cheers.

Also, Fat Princess is hilarious. Further, Afghani food is quite delicious. That is all.

Back In Business!

"At last! My arm is complete!"
(Sweeney Todd)

Computer's back up and running! Oorah! Heh, guess I'd better start chopping at the . . . haha! At the SIXTY-TWO Fan Word submissions I've neglected all weekend.

This is gonn' be a busy Tuesday . . . guess I'd better not play as much Metal Gear Online today . . .

So while I'm working on that, I'll say that over the past weekend I went for some yum cha with my grandma, did a really quick kung-fu performance at Aberdeen Centre (the "asian mall" that wowed Adam last week), got ragged on by the podcasters a bit, registered Shadow' for Anime Evolution in August, and played a million billion hours of Metal Gear Online. Seriously, I think I'm having more fun with this than I did with Call of Duty 4 - something about hiding in a cardboard box as someone runs past, then ambushing and grabbing them, dragging them down to the ground, choking them out, and then stabbing them in the head just feels very satisfying . . .

So yeah, if anyone needs me, I'll be editing.

The important thing to take from this post: I'm back in business!

Figures . . .

(Tonight's post comes courtesy of the mother's iMac on the opposite side of the desk!)

After the other night's Windows update, my computer needed to restart . . . never quite restarted all the way . . . sooooo now it's dead and won't boot up.

Granted, I'm sure something would have crapped up even without the Windows update involved, but alas, same difference in the end.

I may or may not commandeer this computer or a laptop for caption battles today . . . especially seeing as all the screencaps aren't on any other machines. As well, although there are 11 new Fan Words nominations to process (including what's likely to be an amazing FFVII fic by teh Kimmeh), I really don't want to go through those without Firefox and in-browser spellchecking. So hang tight, writers!

Here's hoping It'll be a fast process to get my machine back up and running today/tomorrow . . . heh, evidently much of my current life takes place there.

. . . I'm not sure if that's sad or not. Either way, no one expect to see me online for the next day or two, probably, savvy?

On the plus side of yesterday, I made Adam take public transportation to places beyond downtown Vancouver, effectively defended the honour and quality of Vancouver-based Chinese food, and gave a quick driving tour of my home city in New Westminster. All the while, we listened to the Sweeney Todd score in the car.

That was good times.
