OtakuOni: Chapter 17

Outside of the mansion in the backyard Toshiro Hitsugaiya was stuck between two paths. Left…or right…He took the package that was in his sleeve out and looked at it.

“Captain Hitsugaiya!” a voice called.

Takuma Ichijo ran up to the small soul reaper. Toshiro groaned and looked at the vampire.

“What are you doing here?” he tsked.

“Miss Luna said we are not supposed to wander off alone, no matter how powerful we think we are,” Takuma explained.

“There you two are. It is a good thing I followed you. I came to help,” a young lady with long black hair and green eyes greeted.

“Isa!” another young lady called, hurrying after the first girl.

This girl was small with brown hair pulled out of her face with a bow and brown eyes.

“Sorry I ran too fast, Hana,” Isabell apologized.

“It’s alright. Captain is the fast one. We had to run to keep up with him…” Hana
pouted.

“I don’t really need your help. I am just looking for Mocha. This is none of your concern.” Toshiro lectured, “It’s not safe for fangirls like you.”

“But it will be easier to find her with help from us. Besides, it is too late to head back now,” Hana insisted.

“We can’t just sit back while everyone else is fighting and doing stuff. It would not be right! Besides, we’re good fighters, we can handle ourselves,” Isabell added.

Takuma was watching Toshiro as the girls explained why they were there. He noticed something.

“Captain Hitsugaiya, there is a hole in your parcel,” he said.

“What?” Toshiro questioned, looking at it, “I hope this is not a bad sign…”

“You’re going to drop what’s inside. Too bad we don’t have anything to fix it with…” Isabell sighed.

Hana pulled the ribbon from her hair, causing her hair to fall into place. She held it out to Toshiro.

“In that case, use this ribbon. I have many others, so you can throw it away when you are done with it.”

Hana walked over and tied the ribbon in place to keep the package together.

“There! All done! Now, even if you have to run, it won’t fall out of the package!” Hana smiled.

“You have a sword?” Toshiro questioned, “I thought you were a Quincy…”

“What? Oh…Ichigo-nii is letting me borrow this. He said he got it from Uruhara.
He gave it to me before I left with Isa,” Hana explained.

“I see…”

“I won’t use it unless I am really in danger! Because it was a gift from Ichigo,” Hana added.

“Are you sure it is really safe for you two to be wandering off from the tent?” Toshiro asked.

“Psssh. We are big girls! We can take care of ourselves. I have my sword and scythe!” Isa explained, “Anyways…the path splits here.”

“Yes, why don’t we split into two groups. You two can go right while Captain and I go left,” Takuma insisted.

“Ja, sounds like a plan. Let’s meet here in ten minutes. None of us have fought the enemy yet, so it would be best to not be separated for very long…” Isa sighed.

“Fine…” Toshiro relented.

The two hosts watched as the two girls headed down their assigned path. Toshiro waited until they left before he spoke again.

“You are coming with me because you wish to see Kiki, right?” Toshiro asked.

Takuma grinned, “You caught me! I brought some cookies along for her to cheer her spirits. So, let’s go find them, ok?”

“Let’s go…”
