News: The Best of Green Lantern On DVD

While visiting DC Comcis Super-Heroes fan site The World's Finest today, I have discovered that Warner Bros. will be releasing a collection DVD titled "The Best of Green Lantern". From what I've heard, this one will feature 5 animated T.V. episodes featuring a Green Lantern in a protagonal/guest role and the episodes are listed as follows:

  • "In Brightest Day" from "Superman: The Animated Series" (1996)
  • The two-parter "In Blackest Nihgt" from "Justice League" (2001. Series renamed "Justice League Unlimited" after season 2)
  • "Ring Toss" from "The Batman" (2004)
  • "The Eyes of Despero!" from "Batman: The Brave and The Bold" (2008)

Despite the box-office failure of 2011's live-action "Green Lantern", it's looking like Warner Bros. does not wish to give up in trying to bring Green Lantern to the same mainstream level as DC's big three (Superman, Btaman, and Wonder Woman) within North Amerieca. In fact, I find more of the obscure DC hereos deserve a chance in popularity. By the way, if you have Cartoon network in your cable or satelitte, get ready for "Green Lantern: The Animated Series", which is scheduled to premier on Sept. 5.
