This is a summary of Eragon.

Brom once said that we don't know how many dragons survived Galbatorix's slaughter of dragons. We also don't know how many dragon eggs are left. There were the three Galbatrix had but what if there were other eggs that were hidden and escaped the slaughter?
You can be with the Empire or the Varden.

Just to let you know, the Varden are in the Beor Mountains, not Surda.
I sat out in the field with my hoe, working the soil around the corn, trying to kill the weeds. I stood up and stretched, looking around to see how far I had yet to go. I had over half the field left to do. And beings I was only one person, it was going to take me a whole week.
Sighing, I got back to work. The thought was a little intimidating to be working in the field for another week. But, seeing as I was a lowly peasent, I had nothing better to do.
Anger boiled up at the thought of my masters, on how they treated me. I was their little play thing that had to do whatever they wanted lest they kill me, which seemed almost a better alternative to working in the fields during the day, and doing whatever the men told me to at night.
I struck the ground with more furry and realized I had dug a hole. Plopping down on the ground in defeat, I shoved the dirt back in with my hands. I saw a strange colored rock half burried in the ground. It was so pretty. I pulled it out and examined it. It was an odd shaped rock, and it felt so smooth. I wondered how I had overlooked that rock every time I worked out here.
I shoved it in the bag with the other much smaller rocks and continued working, though my mind kept retuning to the rock, which I found odd. Why would I care so much about a rock?
That night, I grabbed the bag and headed to the house. I didn't call it home, because homes were supposed to feel, well, homey, and this didn't. I snuck in through the back, hoping I would just be able to go to my room. Luck was not on my side as one of my master's caught me.
"Why are you sneaking?" he sneered at me.
"I wasn't!" I protesed. "I merely want to go to bed early tonight is all."
"You want me to come tuck you in?" he asked seductively.
"God No!" I shifted the weight of the pack and tried to push passed him, but he reached out and caught me arm, his grip like a vice.
"Watch your tone, girl!" he yelled at me. He saw I was clutching the bag and tore it out of my hands. "What you hiding in here?" He pulled out the rock. "A rock? What are you, stupid? ROcks don't belong in the house!" HE went to the door and threw the rock outside.
I could only watch as he did so; i had no say in the matter.
He came back and pushed me down, "Off with you! I can't stand the sight of you!"
I did what I was told happily. I threw myself on my ratted old cot and stared out the window wishing for a better place in life.

Dras-Leona Guard
"Hey did you hear about the elf that was said that she was found near Jiet River?" a guard said to another.
"Yah not even a army of men and Urgals could hunt her down."
Azof as a guard, in the bar having a drink, was eavesdropping thinking in the back of his mind 'Hhhmmm, I could get a large reward for turning a elf in to the king. But how would I be able to get her on a boat and keep her alive?'
So I left to go find her. Hoping that she was resting when I found her to make the job easier and hoping that I would have though of a way to get the elf on a boat alive by the time I found her. I packed my thing (not much) and left Dras-Leona.
After a couple days of traveling to Melian (which was the nearest forest) I stumbled upon an odd chunk of onyx that was surprisingly large and smooth. Thinking that this was a dragon egg I though that the Varden would want it. So I kept the 'rock' in my bag, to call it rock if anyone asks, and continued walking.
I hope that every one likes it.
I called to my father that I would be back soon I was just going for a walk to cool off in the water a bit.
Leaping nimbly from rock to rock I landed on a big one and looked out over the body of water. "Ah its always so peaceful here!" I sighed and sat down taking my shoes off to enjoy the water.
I started to wade out when my foot hit something. "OW!" I screamed and slipped into the water. I rubbed my foot and looked to see what I had tripped over.
I sighed. "Just a rock..." Shaking my head I got out of the water. "Grate now I'll have to change my cloths!" I gathered my shoes and started to climb up. Looking back in the shallow part I couldn't stop staring at the rock I had tripped over.
Putting my stuff down I went back into the water and pulled the strange rock out. "RAY!" I heard my father yell. "Y-YEAH! COMING!" I shouted back.
'Dad'll think I'm crazy if I bring this rock back...Better if I just leave it here.' I thought but I needed to come back to it. Looking around I picked a bush and put the rock under it.
"I'll be back!" I said and stood up. Shaking my head I mumbled, " I must be crazy...Talking to a rock and telling I'll come back for it." I sighed and started to run back home.

So far from home...
Elva could hear the sound of men and Urgals behind her. She couldn't get captured, she had to tell Lady Vanessa of the Varden something important. Elva was in a forest, in the Empire, on her way home from a mission. Unfortunately Rex, the one of the Emperor's magicians, had discovered that she was in Dras-Leona and came as quick as lightning.
Elva looked ahead and saw a river. How am I to cross it? She looked behind her, and saw that the men where only a league away. Elva looked around at her surroundings, then thought of magic. The river was 10 feet across, to far to go, and make it back to the Varden in a few days. She looked around again. Then she started to run with the current. She made sure she was leaving footprints. Then after a mile she jumped a foot high off the ground and landed lightly in the grass next to her. Hopefully this would make them lose track of me...
She started to run away from the river, but running in the same direction as before. Then she heard the clinking of armor close behind her. She looked ahead and saw a medium size bush. She dove into it. Then she slid down a hole, that was only 2 feet wide, and kept sliding. After 10 seconds she was in a little cave, full of rabbits. She could hear someone shout, "Where is she?"
Someone replied, "Don't know."
She started to walk in the huddle of rabbits and saw a beautiful amethyst colored thing, with blue veins over it. She new at once that it was a dragon egg.
