Hush, Love, Don't cry,
It'll be alright,
Hold me close,
As I administer the dose,
Listen to my lullaby of lies.

So, I have lots of good news!! First off, I found out yesterday that they're KEEPING ME ON in Housekeeping!! I'll only be working 12 hours for them, though. But then I get 3 more hours a week from tutoring my friend in Art History. My supervisor gave me my official Housekeeping shirts this afternoon.

Secondly, my co-worker, Andrea, has a total of 11 newborn kittens at her house. 5 belong to Ms. Grey (1 1/2 years old) and the other 6 belong to Grey's mother, Speed Bump. Grey gave birth on August 13th, outside, and we found the litter 2 days later and brought them in. Speed gave birth yesterday, inside, and had 7, but 1 was stillborn. The kittens are soooo tiny and soooo adorable!! >w< I want to cuddle them all, but the mommy cats don't like their babies to be touched...

Okay, third news piece, I have my Rosiel outfit finished!! I haven't had a chance to take pictures yet, though. I will probably do so on the 29, when I have time to put on the make-up and all. And I should have my contacts in by then! Mom says the contacts should be in by tomorrow...

Fourth happy tidbit, everyone's starting to move back to campus!! So all my friends are returning. I'm not so lonely any more!! It's a good life...

As you can see, I've been in quite high spirits as of late.

Alrighty, then! Since classes start on the 25th, here's my schedule:

Mondays & Wednesdays

  • Rythmic Activities & Lead-Up Games: 12:00 pm to 12:50 pm
  • Ceramics II: 1:00 pm to 1:50 pm (will also be on Fridays at this time)
  • 2-D Studio I: 2:00 pm to 2:50 pm

Tuesdays & Thursdays

  • Ed & Growth of the American Republic: 9:30 am to 10:45 am
  • Art History I: 1:00 pm to 2:15 pm
  • Principles of Learning & Teaching: 2:30 pm to 3:45 pm

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, I'll also be working for Housekeeping from 6 am to no later than 11 am. And at some point during the week, I'll tutor my friend for 3 hours. The 3 hours won't all be on the same day, most likely...

Well, that's all for now!! Stay classy, Otakuites!

So...Just a quick update. I'm going home either today or tomorrow, meaning I won't be on for a bit. I'll be home for a whole week! Ugh...I don't know if I can survive an entire week with no internet...Though, I'm taking my computer home anyways. Maybe I can work on a new AMV? Or perhaps I could color that lineart I did way back in spring...

My job situation changed. I went into the Financial Aid office on June 29 (Monday) to make sure I had all the paperwork filled out so that I could start my off-campus work-study at the day care on July 1st. The woman started looking in her computer and she told me that I no longer qualified for federal work study. It's complete bullshit!! I qualified at the beginning of May!! I was so pissed off...She told me the only way I could go ahead and work at the day care was if I gave up my unsubusidized loan for the rest of summer. Of course, when I took the loan back in fall when school started, it would be $1000 less than it was before, because that was how much money I'd make working at the day care. I was trying my hardest not to cry, but the tears fell anyways. The lady told me that I could still get a job on campus, because it would only count as institutional work-study, meaning I wouldn't have to give up my loan. So I checked in the cafeteria, but the supervisor said they didn't need anyone. I had to wait to go to the housekeeping and grounds supervisor, so I went to my room and had myself a full-blown breakdown. I punched my bed a couple of times, bawled my eyes out, and bad-mouthed the government. I felt like shit because it seemed like the government didn't want to help the good, honest, hard-working American citizens...Then I went and talked to the housekeeping and grounds supervisor, and she said she had a position! That made my day TONS better! So, I get to start on July 13th.

July 15th-19th, I'm gonna be in Nebraska, visiting with Daku. I'm excited about that. Then, he's coming back home on August 8th. He's going to be glomped to death...

I have an eye doctor appointment on Monday, July 6th. I might be getting contacts! I'm excited. And a little nervous...The last time I tried to get contacts, it took the doctor forever to get one in my eye, I couldn't get the other one in my eye, and then it took forever for me to get the first one out! But I'm much better at touching my eyeball now...

Oh, I saw "Public Enemies" last night! I'm a Johnny Depp fangirl...I went with my friend, Kells...Johnny kept giving away his coats. So we kept hoping he didn't own too many, because then he would end up nekkid...I've never hated Batman so much in my life...Christian Bale plays the cop in charge of catching John Dillinger...So throughout the movie, we were just like, "Oh noes!!1 Batman, joo suckz!!1" The ending sucked, to us...There are some things that you just don't do!! And the director did one of those things...HE FUCKING KILLED JOHNNY!!!! YOU DON'T FUCKING KILL JOHNNY DEPP!!!! And then Kells's dad told us that the real John Dillinger escaped and lived out his life in California...So we were just like, "Oh, FAIL, movie director man!! FAIL!!!" Yes...

Well, that's all I have for now...Stay classy, Otakuites!

So...I haven't been doing anything of much importance lately. I won't be able to start my community service until tomorrow, thanks to some recent storms. The rain flooded the room I was supposed to clean out...Water was like 2 inches deep, or more...But it should be dry enough by tomorrow. I've mainly been staying in my room, being a hermit. I've played Kingdom Hearts 2 some more...I finally got Sora woke up and in Hollow Bastion! Those damn cut scenes kill me, though...They're too long at that part...For anyone wondering, no, this is not my first time to play the game. The first time I played, I beat the game at 87% completion...This time, I'm going for 100%. Bahaha!!

Hm...I've also drawn a couple things. One drawing is for DeidaraNarutoClan's "Outside the Box" challenge. I'm excited. I drew myself falling upside down. It came out great! Surprised me...The second drawing is a gift for my Nii-san, LGA775, because he did such a wonderful job on my request. n__n The other drawing was just a quick doodle of Taicho Shunsui chasing Nanao-chan...Yeah, Bleach fan art for once! Shunsui is my favorite taicho...Because he's drunk all the time...And always chases Nanao around, asking her to go on dates with him...

I finished my FFVII: AC video! It's up on YouTube now. I'll put it at the end...I'm so proud of it! It turned out awesome!!

I got Eoin Colfer's "The Artemis Fowl Files: The Ultimate Guide To the Best-Selling Series" book in today from Amazon. Colfer's amazing. I've been following the Fowl series since I was like, 13 or so...Now I've got all six books in the series, AND the accompanying guide! I can't wait for Book 7 to come out...It should be out next year. Book 6, "The Time Paradox" ended in kind of a cliff-hanger...I won't say what happened at the end...I'll let you read it yourself, if you haven't already...But one thing did excite me...

HOLLY AND ARTEMIS KISSED!!!!

That just blew me away...I was like, "No way!! Seriously?!" Yeah...

Well, that's all I got for now. Stay classy, Otakuites!

That's right. Finished. Completed. You can stick a fork in them, because they are DONE!!

So...Now I sit back and ask myself, "What shall I do with all of my new-found free time?" I'll tell you what I'm gonna do with all that free time:
~Complete FFVII: AC AMV to Placebo's "Protege Moi" (I'll post it on here when I finish it)
~Read Christopher Paolini's "Eldest"
~Draw new art (some of which are for challenges)
~Move into my new summer room
~Play video games
~Work on my future best-selling novel (if you want details, pm me)
~Work on new fanfiction for FFN
~Possibly make another AMV?

Yeah...Free time, folks...Free time...I went to Sonic with 3 of my friends (and fellow Maymester-mates) at 8:00 pm to get free root beer floats to celebrate. Sonic's giving them out until midnight...

So, you can all expect me to be on a little more frequently!

So, I have an update for my Sophomore Review........

I PASSED!!!

I'm so excited about that one! My professors were actually impressed with my work! I'm thinking about posting a gallery specially made for the Review pieces...I don't know...

I have most of my papers and other assignments completed for my Education and History classes. I've got maybe 2 or 3 more things to do. Also, I will have a job beginning July 1st! So I think I'm just going to remain on campus for the summer. During the month of June, I'll probably just do community service to get free summer housing. When I start that job, it will be work study, so I should get free housing for that, too.

Unfortunately, I've only got two more weeks of classes, and then May 11th begins Finals Week...Ugh, the dreaded Finals!! Hm...Let's see, I know I'll have to take the Yoga final (some of which contains Sanskrit), the Theories of Human Learning final, and the World Civilization 2 final...The Families and Students in a Diverse Society final is optional, but you do have to take it if you want an A in the class, so I'll probably go ahead and be an overachiever and reach for that A...Besides, if I do poorly, it can't hurt my grade...In both Sculpture 1 and Figure Drawing 1, I will only have a final critique, so no pressure there.

The day after Finals are over, I get to move into the on-campus apartments! And then that Monday, Maymester begins. It'll be 3 whole weeks of nothing but Education classes...I'm actually excited about it because I'll be working side-by-side with an art teacher at a junior high school. I've already met her and she seems really fun!

Oh, and at Room Selection on Tuesday, Celeste (my roommate and self-proclaimed twin) and I got into the on-campus apartments! It's a big thing because they're MUCH nicer than the dorms...In the apartments, we will share a bathroom with only 2 other girls, who we both know and love! And our other neighbor will be Mantha, whom I've known and loved since 8th grade. The apartments also have a full kitchen! The dorms only have a tiny, crappy, useless one...Anyways, we also opted for the 7-meal-a-week plan. We plan to take full advantage of our culinary skills and that full kitchen...We're also going to learn to buy in bulk...I'll probably end up just finding my way to the nearest Sam's Club and signing up for a membership card. My mom's got one, so I'll talk to her about it more later.

Speaking of my mother, I don't think she's too thrilled that I want to stay here for the summer. She's always had a bit of a problem with me being independent. But I'm 20 years old, and I think it's time to continue cutting on that umbilical cord! I began the process 2 years ago when I came to this university, which is a 3-hour drive from my house...At least it's in the same state! Well, I do feel bad about not visiting my parents very often, but this is how life goes! Parents have child, child grows up and learns from parents, child moves off from parents to lead an independent life. I'm at that third and final step of being a child...Though, I still plan to visit my parents over the summer. My mom's having that "empty nest" syndrome. I'm the oldest of 2 kids. My younger (I don't say little because he's bigger than me...) brother is a Senior in high school this year. Fortunately for mom, he's planning to attend the local community college for the first 2 years, meaning he'll be living at home. Then he's transferring to a state university. I'm currently attending a private university...Anyways, yeah, mom's got the "empty nest" syndrome...But she'll be fine. She'll come to enjoy the peace and quiet...Not to mention the amount of control she'll have over the remote control! My dad's a trucker, so he's only home on weekends...

Okay, now, for a complete and utter change in topic! I'm going to an anime convention this weekend! My boyfriend, 2 of our friends, and I are all leaving tomorrow afternoon, around 2:30 or so. I'm utterly ecstatic!! My fiance and I were going to go as male and female Ranma, from "Ranma 1/2", but his wig still hasn't come in, and if it doesn't come in by tomorrow, he's going as Kakuzu, and I'm going as Sasori, both from "Naruto". One of our friends is going as himself, as he is a character all his own. Our other friend will probably borrow whichever costume I don't use, as she's relatively the same size as me.

Oh, by the way, feel free to color my latest lineart!

Well, that's it for now! Stay classy, Otakuites!
