Hey, fellow Anime/Manga lovers! It's TheDarkAngel here! AKA Yosei! WooT!

So, here's my World Page designed especially for me. For those of you who aren't familiar with me, I'm an aspiring Manga-ka (at least in my own mind) and I enjoy many things in life, including, but not limited to: sword-fights, squirrels, lingual jokes, shiny rocks, and strawberries.

Also, I was born in Texas, but raised in Montana. No, I don't ride horses, or boil water over a campfire to heat it, and as a matter of fact, I hate Westerns! I don't have an accent (y'all) and I don't wear a ten-gallon cowboy hat with chaps. I'm a normal, everyday average citizen of America... who wishes he were somewhere else. XD I'm also agnostic, so don't come preaching to me about anything, okies? And, I won't throw you down a well, okies? Yay! Friends!!!

FINALLY.

So, there was a professional manga group on DA that I applied to, just to see what they'd say in return.

They said the would LOVE to have me add my manga to their monthly updates~! That would mean people would regularly read my story. They were interested in the actual story and such.

However, they had to decline me. But, I got EXACTLY what I've been wanting and haven't been getting: being told EXACTLY what I need to work on.

The only two problems they had with my art was:
- It was hard to discern my character's ages.
- There was too much white space on my pages.

But, that's not a lot. And, I plan to work hard this summer and improve. ^_^ This is wonderful news, actually. Here, I just thought no one liked my art. OTL.

So, this is what I plan to work on.
Do any of you guys know of any good sites I can go to for references? I'm planning on referring to manga sources for some things. ^_^; And, I know of PoseManiacs.com I also like the way Renaissance artists observed the human body. I think I'll look into those as well for tips and tricks.

Wish me luck~!

Aww, thanks~! ^_^[EDIT]

Hey, guys. I'm actually at my grandparent's house right now. XDDD
And I have a mountain of homework waiting for me when I get home this evening. *le sigh*

But, it was so kind of you guys to send some of those new little icon gifts of Easter eggs, chocolate bunnies, and peeps~! You know how much this diabetic loves his chocolate. XDDD

Easter (or, Zombie Jesus Day to those of us who think it's ok to add a little humor to the holidays) has been going fairly well this year. I stayed up late last night playing "Five Crowns" with my grandparents, sister, and parents. XDDD I lost, got dead last place. That game seriously hates me.
Then, my sis and I stayed up 'til 1am playing Sevens. XD

I've also gotten my English homework written out, but I still have a buttload of Japanese homework waiting for me when I get home in a few hours. Ugh... two more weeks... just two more...

Anyhoo, ate a lot of ham this weekend. Ribs. Ice cream. Played Rock Band for the first time last night. I like the drums. I hate singing. XDDD I also suck at the game, even on the Easy setting. XDDD

Well, it's time for me to go.
Bye, y'all~!

[EDIT]

After I got off here earlier, I went outside and spent some time in the sunshine at the grandparent's farm. Damn, it was a beautiful day.
We spent a good hour hitting golfballs out into the cow pasture. Then, my uncle and I hopping on the Four Wheeler and went to retrieve 'em all. We found lots of old cow pies. :3
I smile because it's my nostalgia. I remember being a little kid and going out on the four wheeler and just riding throughout the acres my grandparents raise their cattle on. Wind in my air, smelling the dust and grass. Playing in the creek and catching frogs and climbing up the haystacks in the barn to get to the rafters. Ahhh...

Anyhoo, it is off to homework now. ^_^
Bai-bee, loves~

Better than I thought~!

I woke up this morning, thinking it was Tuesday.

But, no. It was a practical joke played on me by myself. For it was only Monday.

Anyhoo, I had almost no gas this morning and I didn't fill up, since my parents promised me a full tank of gas if I stayed home this weekend. Which I did. Thanks to that amassment of homework... (see previous journal entry, if you're THAT curious...)

So, I thought that today wouldn't be that great.

As it turns out, it went pretty well~ XDDD

I thought I'd do really poorly on a paper for English but I got it back and I had an "A-"~! Woot~!

Then, math was REALLY easy... I didn't even take notes. It was all basic geometry stuff I learned in the 6th grade. XD During my breaks, I read The Wise Man's Fear and I LOVE THAT SERIES~! Please, please, put out the next book soon, Patrick Rothfuss~!!!! :D

My Kanji quiz in Japanese was SUPER easy. I've known the kanji for upwards of 4 years now, the only one I really had to study was "shima" (island) and it was simple after learning "tori" and "uma" and "yama".. XDDD

Anyhoo, most of my homework is done. Just waiting texts from my groupmates for our English project we have to work on. I might be too busy tomorrow working on that to get on here. Oh well. School work is school work.

I'm making TACOS for dinner tonight~! YAYYYY~!

Okies, hope today was good for you as well~!

*collapses*

I DID IT!! MWAHAHAHAH!

This weekend, I had a mountain of homework and I JUST finished it! HAH HAH~!
What I had to do:

English:
-Write a paper for a presentation I saw on Friday morning
-Write a sketch on a personal essay.
-Contact my group-mates and figure out what we want to research about our town, then email my professor and start research.

Japanese:
-Write a sakubun
-do online quiz and listening activity
-Oral practice (couldn't do, as it hasn't yet been put up online.)

I was up until 2:30 in the morning last night just doing my Japanese. I finished my English a few minutes ago, and am now awaiting my group-mates' responses via text so I can email my professor. Simple, really.
Ahh... now I can relax and play games... ^_^

See you all later~! Thanks for reading.

So, what else is new?

Heh... I'm such a loser...

21 and still living with my parents. I'm forced to.
Don't get me wrong, I love them. But, I WANT OUT OF HERE!!! I'm still job-searching because, I just want my independence. My mother's always saying, "No, I don't want you to leave. You're my little baby!!! Let US pay for your car, cellphone, and medicine! Let US take care of you!"

But, I'm still allowed to search for a job... at least there's that. And, as soon as I get one, I wanna move out and live with the b/f... =_=;

My mom coddles me. She always has. I'm her premature, first-ever-conceived-and-born (apparently, she lost two other babies before my sister was born), and I had my lungs full of fluids and I had a surgery when I was just hours old, and I had another major heart surgery when I was 5 and I have hypothyroidism and I had another surgery three years ago to have my gall bladder removed and now I have diabetes and...

I'M NOT MADE OF GLASS, MOM!

They give me so much, my parents. I shall one day shower them in gifts and appreciation to make up for it. Sure, they pamper me, but I try to remain modest. I never ask for more than what's given. Ever since I was young, I've tried my best to make them proud. I strive to be that shining light in their eyes that can do no wrong.

'Course, that just prompted them to say, "You spoil us, Yoh."

How do I spoil them? I wondered about that... How can a child, like me, spoil their parents? That's some reverse psychology if I ever saw some...
But, today I realized what they meant.
I was never a typical teenager. I didn't like to bend rules or tread on toes. I was goody-two-shoes Yosei. Always-hard-working Yosei. Taking-advanced-classes Yosei. Oh-you-got-a-"C"-but-you-tried-your-best Yosei.
I was a good kid, I guess...

Apparently, though, my sister is the antithesis of myself.
Just today, she asked my parents if she could stay at a friend's house tonight. Okay, normal question. But, they brought up her report card and said she didn't do very well this quarter.

If they'd pointed that out to me, I would say, "Oh... yeah... I'll try harder this next quarter." then, leave it at that, whether they allowed me to stay at my friend's or not. But, she immediately makes this offended face and says, "It's not the quarter grade that counts! It's the SEMESTER one!"

Well... the quarter grade counts when mom and dad have to go in to get you insured so you can drive, like you want to so badly, sis... Instead of arguing, you should just take it and try harder next time. And, she acted as if she KNEW it... I mean, no... she really didn't. Certainly, the entire grade is important, but one little screw up can really raise prices (especially with what's going on the economy right now and the gov't wanting to raise the cap on our debt... joy...).

So, then, I'm trying to make dinner and my mom and sister are having this argument in the kitchen. I wanna butt in SO BAD because I KNOW I could shut them both up, but every time I do, the sister shouts at me, which pisses my mom off more and makes it worse and then I'm involved. So, I stayed out of this one, just kept stirring the dinner.

In the end, my dad allowed my brat of a sister to go to her friend's, my mom refused to eat dinner with anyone, and I was forced to eat way too fast the delicious meal I made and now I feel all sickish. (=~=;)

Oh, Kielbasa... you delicious mixture of meat... I love you. But, I hate what you do to my tummy and I've eaten too much of you too fast...

The rice was good, though.

Well, I guess I should go shower and finish my Japanese homework... *sigh*

If you made it this far, I thank you. I know I'm not the most fun person to read about here. If I'm too dramatic, you can always quit coming. XDDD But, I appreciate every last one of you. ^_^ Thanks again.
