The Long Road Traveled:

Reading aloud Kurotsuchi read;

Here is a flat hill
Here is a river
You can burn
Here is a city
You can cover with your thumb
Here is a forest
Whose color never changes
A fly has landed
In the middle of the sea

“Tch, such child’s play these riddles are. It’s a Map of course.” Kurotsuchi grinned wide, “and I know where there are plenty of maps.” He flashed stepped back to the gate that he used to get to the human realm and returned to the soul society.

Quickly he made his way to the library and straight to the maps. Hundreds of maps where rolled up and placed in small cubbies on the wall. He walked the rows looking into each one.

“Where are you, Ashisogi?” Kurotsuchi questioned, just as he did he felt Ashisogi reiatsu from above him. He looked above him and smiled. “There you are.”

Kurotsuchi grabbed the ladder they used in retrieving books and things from the higher shelves and rolled it in front of the cubby he needed. Climbing the steps toward his sword Kurotsuchi mumbled, “Such a pain all this running around is. I could be in my lab trying to find the solution to the seraph’s problem, but no. I have to be running around looking for my zanpakuto.”

Finally, Kurotsuchi reached the top of the steps. He plunged his hand into the maps and pulled out the one that his zanpakuto was rolled up in. Unrolling the map he reviled his sword, lifting it from the map he sheathed Ashisogi as his sheath hung in front of him. He carefully rolled the map once more and placed it back in the cubby and started his decent to the floor.

“Now back to the lab to finish what the Captain Commander ask me to do.”

Broken Pieces

Yamamoto looked at the second piece of paper which has scribe in ink, as he read aloud.

“Dead and bound, what once was free. What made no sound, now sings with glee.” He sighed softly, "A wooden stringed instrument."

Discussed Yamamoto tossed the piece of paper into the trash and went after his zanpakuto. He searched every location in which he could find Shamisen and destroyed it. Yamamoto even distorted Hisagi’s guitar. As he exited the room Yamamoto looked over his shoulder at Hisagi.

“I will replace that.” He then disappeared in search of his next victim.

Finally, he walked through the eight division’s gate. There he saw a Shamisen resting outside against the Captain Kyoraku’s office wall. He walked over to it grabbing it by the neck raising it above his shoulders and brought is crashing to the ground. Captain Kyoraku came running from his office hearing the racket. Beneath the Captain Commander were broken pieces of the Shamisen and his zanpakuto; Ryujin Jakka.

Yamamoto reached down and picked up his zanpakuto looking back to Shunsui with a sly smile, “I owed you one from all the things you and Juushiro destroyed of mine through the years.”

Shunsui raised his hand to the back of his head and laughed loudly, “Alright, old man. I’ll accept that one. Glad to see you have your zanpakuto back.”

Yamamoto then headed back to his division zanpakuto at his side once more.
