Welcome to my world.

I'm SomeGuy, 29 years old, residing in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've studied English Literature, Chinese Martial Arts, and am currently pursuing careers in writing - possibly even in the anime industry itself.

And I work for this site.

And you should be watching Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad.
Or watching Ranma 1/2.
Or learning about the Shinsengumi.
Or planning to visit Vancouver, The Best Place On Earth (actual marketing motto).

Here at the "Smallville" page, I have my personal blog where I'll post about anything and everything. If ya need me or otherwise need to know anything from/about me, here's where I'll be.

If you're really looking for my more professional, site-type stuff, you wanna head over my "Metropolis" world.

Still Alive, Just Breathing Slowly And Quietly

It's been . . . a voluminous week, both physically and mentally. Not an excuse, though. And yeah, I know, work's piling up pretty nicely too.

Sorry for not being around more this past week. To some more than others.

Holy crap, it's almost con time again!

Felt like playing the drums today. Also, I need to unlock all the Rock Band 2 songs again. So, I made a new band named "Shiggy Lemons" and a musician named "Not Shin". I imagine this band is going to get ridiculous as it goes on . . .

And don't worry, David Bowie's Package will return soon!

The other night I made an amazing "just like mom used to make" rush-dinner. Chicken and vegetables in oyster sauce on rice. Used corn starch and everything. It kicked ass. Now if only I had tofu to add to it . . . ah well. I should tell my mom about that one . . .

Also, con's in like, 2 or 3 weeks. When the hell did that happen?!

So that's things on my end.

. . . . . y'know what?

Stupid Ed's in town this weekend. Spent much of yesterday letting him browse through my computer to see the problems it still has.

Yeah, even he was stumped. Eff.

And now that it's 1:40am, y'know what? Podcasters'll be sad about it, but I just barely got my computer back and it's still a little wonky. So tell ya what, I'll do captions later today, potentially not in time for the podcast to notice.

I had to be a lion tail in a parade yesterday. I'm tired. Allow me this for this week.

EDIT;

Also, when the heck did stupid!Tom and Gidget hook up? You look away for one week . . .

Damn, this is a dirty saddle to get back in . . .

Both computer AND PS3 came back yesterday. Go fig', huh? Props to Purolator for shipping crazy fast, and props to Sony for actually fixing the problem in basically a day.

PS3:

Upside: Everything works. And Killzone 2 came back as well (it was stuck inside it).

Downside: hard drive got wiped. All game data and updates be gone. That's probably gonna be a pain. On the plus side, I've already reinstalled all the downloadable Rock Band stuff - will now have to slosh through the game to unlock the regular songs ('cause it'd be wrong to just use the unlock cheat).

Computer:

Upside: It's back and I have new anti-virus stuff again.

Downside: I got an error message the first time I tried firing it up that closed Windows immediately. One reset later and that disappeared, though, so who knows. Still having some issues with my web searches which didn't get fixed, though, so I fear what that could mean in the long run. Ultimately, machine's back which is great, though I truly feel it won't take much for it to die again.

Methinks it's time to put together a new machine for a near-future investment . . . who remembers the specs for that $500 machine that could play Crysis on full settings again?

Conclusion:

I'm back. And I've got a lot of work to do. FML.

Massive Tech Failure

Wednesday, I got my computer malwared/virused and killed; brought it into the shop so hopefully it gets fixed sooner than later. That same day, PS3 broke down with what is apparently a heat issue, also needs to be sent in to get fixed. What was supposed to be a fairly inexpensive month just got a nice boost.

FML.

(Adam, don't expect any work from me for a few more days - you may need to do podcast. Everyone else, if Adam doesn't read this, make sure to tell him.)
