I'm SomeGuy, 29 years old, residing in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've studied English Literature, Chinese Martial Arts, and am currently pursuing careers in writing - possibly even in the anime industry itself.
And I work for this site.
And you should be watching Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad.
Or watching Ranma 1/2.
Or learning about the Shinsengumi.
Or planning to visit Vancouver, The Best Place On Earth (actual marketing motto).
Here at the "Smallville" page, I have my personal blog where I'll post about anything and everything. If ya need me or otherwise need to know anything from/about me, here's where I'll be.
If you're really looking for my more professional, site-type stuff, you wanna head over my "Metropolis" world.

Fan Words are finally cleared out!!! Booyah! I think I probably went a little easier on a lot of them, didn't get nitpicky about things so long they were still spelt right and stuff like that. Emotes . . . yeah, I let those slide this time. Heh, here's hoping that doesn't become a habit.
Guess I have time to start writing up my con' reports, then. Got some more Shinsengumi to plug!
So other than that, been having tons of fun with Cat'.
-Convention all of last weekend.
-Japanese dinner, 3 Doors Down (along with Econoline Crush, Hinder and Staind) on Tuesday.
-PNE/Playland (think large annual fair and amusement park) all day in the rain, followed by drying off at home watching School Rumble in the evening.
She's going camping with some other cousins this weekend; they invited me to come as well, so I'll probably drive out on the Saturday to chill with them. Should be fun.
Yeah. This is easily one of the best summers evar.
Alright, Fan Words are chopped down to a feasible number now. Just got snagged on one really long deal that deserves some attention which I'm not giving it and I'll be back on top of my theO work!
Anyway, they were selling hats at the con' that I thought people here would find interesting:
Seem familiar? Hehe . . . yeah, I dunno either.
Anyway, going by the title, I've some videos to share with you guys!
Anyway, con's done, and it was pretty good. Had some fun, promoted the Shinsengumi some more (I'll probably write a couple things about the Shinsengumi at Anime Evolution in the next little while), and got to see some people I hadn't seen in a while.
Certainly many, many things can be done better and the current feeling is that a lot of the executives running the show are not exactly doing all they can for the con'. As I've already mentioned, the Moonlight Ball was an absolute disaster for me and I'm currently glad to know I wasn't the only one who felt that way. It rained on Sunday too, which sucked.
I did have some good company, though, which was an insurmountable bonus. And yes, Catarina looks absolutely adorable in a yukata.
Anyway, I'll tell you guys all about it later so long I remember how. For now, though, I've got some homework to hammer down . . .
Lookin' for new Fan Words? Caption battles? Weekly vocabulary? Any of that sorta stuff? Yeah, well . . . it's convention time. Don't expect me around much for the next three or four days.
Also, the past day or so I've been busy with other matters:
Alexa's gone home today, so that's it for her (for now), but damn. Fun times. Included Rock Band, even (and Shin', we all think hanging out with you would be the bomb. Just sayin'). Sadly, the pictures of them in yukata are on Catarina's camera . . . but y'know . . .
So yeah. Don't expect to much from me for the next half week or so. Just sayin'.
Also, Adam is a goddamned Literal Genie. Just sayin'.
Other than that, I'm still madly plugging Gidget's OtakuFic because it's made of awesome and win and it promotes writing at The Writers Bloc.
Which reminds me, I'm probably gonna change "Open Question" to "Updates and Open Questions". Be a nice place to mention any interesting news for the Bloc, any published stories that were derived from the Bloc . . . that kinda stuff.
Other than that . . . . . dickweed is more or less the official theOtaku.com insult of choice now.
I think I'm fine with that.
And now, if you'll excuse me for the day, I've gotta make a scary phone call today . . .
