Hi I'm Dranzerstorm
You may remember me as a regular contestant on the caption battle contest.
Welcome to Retro Retrospective, my world dedicated to the old guard of the Otaku world; expect some reviews of the old & obscure, and in-depth geeky knowledge with the occasional top ten and I now have a logo.

Little info about me
Well I'm British and I'm in to all things animated and nostalgia.
I've grown up with every cartoon going and have watched hundreds of anime.
Oh and to answer a question I was asked once, no I don't wear glasses in real life, I would wear Loke's sunglasses though.

Cautious Hero Review

Slowly getting back into anime again after a staggered couple years, next up is the Cautious Hero.

In the realm of the gods, it is their duty to summon heroes to save worlds, the goddess of healing Ristarte, tasked with saving the S level difficult Gaeabrande summons a once in a life time hero in Seiya with unbelievably high stats but with only one issue, he's cautious to the absolute extreme, he doesn't trust anyone, he pretty much muscles his way into being trained by several gods breaking a few along the way, reduces his travelling companions to bag carriers and ultimately causes more destruction than even the enemy.
The lengths Seiya will go to is a source of frustration for Ristarte but is it enough against such a powerful foe as the demon lord?
I found with this series, the development in the villains was sacrificed to give full coverage to what Seiya is capable of along with a mixture of sexy, thirsty goddesses in tow and how useless Ristarte is in the grand scheme of things but one thing it did do right was the finale; when its revealed why Seiya acts so cautious, it suddenly completes his character and gives Ristarte some much needed redemption when she spent most of the series going through a silly comedy routine. Thankfully the jokes on show don't out stay their welcome and the anime can still keep it's action set pieces.
Dub is annoying, don't watch it.
Final Verdict: A solid entry among the endless isekai anime. The thristy moments from goddesses can be distracting and the villains have little to no development but is saved by the finale bringing the story to a great climax.
