Of these types of films, there was one I watched a few years ago in theaters with some friends that I think deserves more recognition.
Dammit, the name escapes me right now, but it's about the Sunshine Girl *SNAPS* "Weathering with You." That's the one!
Honestly, I think "Weathering with You" trumps this and "A Silent Voice" in terms of this category of feel-good rom/com anime films.
Not to besmirch them, I just think "Weathering with You" does it better.

Now I understand. Never really thought about how the dates should’ve been out of sync in their constant text correspondence. (Of course, I’m one of the rare people who doesn’t have a smartphone, so I don’t really know a lot about that to begin with.)
