From the Perspective of HNOSS

I sat within Magni's room, slowly looking around in the silence. I started to pick up the mess of things that had broken here and there...but then I turned to examine the "room". There was nothing here that seeming to really "personalize" or "distinguish" his room from any other here in the castle at all. It was just a basic living quarters....with only the NECESSARY Trappings. Part of me was saddened by this...but then again...Magni had always led a frugal life...he never needed much to make him happy. My gaze fell upon the window...

I sighed...my heart was beating so fast with the slight rage beginning to brew within me. The AUDACITY of that woman! To kiss him...right before my EYES! She knows Magni is wed to me! How DARE HER! Has she no control over her impulses and emotions?! I don't care...there is no excuse for such disrespectful behavior!

"I know I should remain here...but I must...I must find that woman and set things straight." I spoke trying to build up my confidence. I really hating fighting with people...but if I had to...in order to defend not only my HONOR...but the one that meant EVERYTHING to me....then I would rise to battle in the grandest of fashion! Clenching my fist, I opened the door and walked out.

From the run-ins with her...I could almost pinpoint her position immediately. There were several other people running around...but the person I wanted wasn't far from my location. I had always been pretty gifted about clearing Labyrinths...so finding my way around a castle such as this really didn't frighten me. I walked the halls calmly...until I felt a sudden breeze. And then...the unmistakable feel of someone's gaze on me...from right above.

"Kyxsha?" I stated...not even looking up. I felt her come down from the rafters....right behind me. I had KNOWN she was coming...but suddenly felt the need to put on a ruse. Until I knew everyone in this castle...I would be weak, innocent, little Hnoss. Completely oblivious, and easily scared. I let out a slight gasp.

"You called for me??" She stated in an irritated tone. I suddenly felt the urge to lash out at her...but stopped myself...and plastered the ruse back on my face.
"Kyxsha... i... ummmmm."

"I'm sorry if a scared you before... when you were in Ximh's room." She spoke quickly, averting my gaze. This told me only one thing...it was a full out lie.

I sighed, I didn't want to...but I had to say what I was feeling. Goodbye Innocent Hnoss... "Kyxsha...I'm not going to accept such an empty and meaningless apology such as that. I'm sorry...but the actions you took were the actions of a brash girl, who knows NOT of the world. You look the part of a woman, act as such! Magni...Ximh as you know him...is MY husband now. I will not have any stepping on the threshold of our marriage in disrespect. And I warn you...to threaten our marriage...or to threaten ME....is to challenge the GODS. For it was through THEIR will that we were wed...and no matter what you think...how you feel...you cannot deny that bond. You have neither the Power, or the Status to even oppose it." She wasn't looking at me...I could tell...she was completely tuning me out. I was almost a bit thrilled about that...I'd managed to say what I wished...while hiding the fact that I'd be playing the role of an innocent bystander. I plastered the hugest false smile I could muster and continued. "Since I'm only a guest in this castle...I really want to get along with everyone here. So I'd rather not have any further run-ins...if you get the picture. I think this works out in both our favor...what do you think?"

"Excuse me but i.. i.... I have a meeting to go to. You know the leader and what not....." She suddenly spoke and briskly walked off. I was sure she'd heard nothing...but oh well...I really didn't care. She would discover eventually....just how FAR I was willing to go to protect Magni. If she was lucky...she'd stay OUT of my WAY!

Hnoss

What the....

We emerged directly in the Leader's quarters. It was quiet and he wasn't visibly here...until suddenly he emerged from one of the walls...startling Hnoss with this entrance.

"So you have returned Ximh." He stated nonchalantly. I didn't say anything and waited for what I knew was coming. "I take it this is your wife then?"

"Lady Hnoss, daughter of Freya." I announced. Hnoss curtseyed but stayed quiet, slowly inching behind me and away from him. "I have come to report back...and to find out if there is any mission for me."

"There are no missions...just developments." The Leader spoke mysteriously.

"Developments? Such as..." I bit. I knew he wanted me too...but I was curious.

"RaXi has still failed to return from her mission...which was to retrieve Rexikat." I could feel him smirk. "It's been quite some time now...I wonder what could be keeping her..."

"What? Want me to go after them?" I spoke with a slight sigh. He wouldn't have told me otherwise...but I had to PLAY along with his Leader Complex...

"As an elite...I do suppose it is your duty..." He began. "But as for Kyxsha...she needs some time...to THINK about how she behaves before me."

I didn't really get that part...but I was just sure I had a mission. I turned to leave but remembered Hnoss. "Oh. Hnoss will be staying here for a couple days." I opened a portal.

"Magni...." Hnoss said unsure.

"What?"

"He's your leader...should you just..."

"No need for concern young lady. Ximh has ALWAYS been that way, he won't be changing anytime soon." The Leader surprisingly spoke up.

I smirked. "That's right." With that we left. Returning to my room for only a moment before I would have to depart. "Hnoss, you will stay here until my return. I don't know what kind of situation RaXi is in, I don't want to put you in danger."

"I understand." My mouth dropped. She wasn't going to fight it?! "I don't want to be in your way Magni. Just be careful...AAAH!!!" A huge breeze blew my window opened and threw everything within into disarray.

"Kyxsha!!!" I shouted...this was HER power! I ran to the window and she appeared before me.

"Yes?" She stated casually.

"WHAT do you think your doing?" I growled angrily.

"Showing you something important." She responded...she wasn't acting like herself.

"And that is?" I questioned.

She leaned forward and kissed me...I pulled away at the end in disgust. Thoroughly enraged at the way she was behaving. My eyes were burning.

"You deserve someone like me to be your wife. Not her." She spoke looking at Hnoss...suddenly she fell. Landing as though it was an intended action, I watched her stand up and leave the scene. I turned around to see if Hnoss was alright. She wasn't a fighter...I mean...she never GOT into fights...and by her very nature despised them...

"I'm fine Magni...THAT doesn't concern me..." She rose with a fierce expression. "It's that woman's emotions. She is clearly NOT in control of them. Irresponsible! Erratic!"

"Hnoss?" I questioned. A portal appeared...it was of the leader's making...leading me to battle most likely.

"Magni. You have a mission to get to. Go on." Hnoss spoke, the serious expression still firmly on her face. "I'll be just fine...don't you worry." Slowly a forced smile appeared...but she was right...I had to go.

"Take care...I shouldn't be long." I stepped through. Straight into the inside of a castle. There were SEVERAL nobodies gathered in a stand off. I was lost for a second. And then I saw Rexikat. "You're alright!" I called out...for a second I had feared the worst...after we'd parted at Abyss. Now I needed to know what was going on...RaXi was nowhere to be found....

Ximh
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please continue. Hah, I brought Ximh in on the scene too, feel free to have him help however. But now I'm thinking...Marlex is HEAVILY out-numbered!!! lol, oh, and sorry my post took so long...went to the dentist...and let's just say HE'S EVIL. >_<'

What must be done....

The carriage left Asgard carrying their precious children. Both Thor and Freya stood at the gate and watched until it flew out of sight.

"Do you think their union will help fight it?" Freya questioned Thor, looking deep into his eyes.

"I don't know...I hope so...though a part of me fears this may actually act as the trigger...I pray that I'm wrong..." Thor spoke aloud...more to himself.

"As do I..." Freya expressed. "Modi is one thing...but what lies within Magni....is truly frightful....for while Modi's bane is in the open...Magni's lies in a deep slumber....waiting to...."

"Speak no more on it." Thor quickly silenced her raising his hand. "You only remind me the pain my lineage brings....what I have brought upon my sons unwillingly....how my heart aches..."

"Thor...."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As much as I was dreading it...I started to wonder why. We had a good time laughing and reminiscing on the way down to Olympus. Domix was almost depressed when we had to part ways. Taking my forearm, and I his, we shook as the Romans did...looking each other in the eye firmly...a solemn vow between brothers to survive. And then he left.

"Modi really hasn't changed much." Hnoss commented as I stood there where he'd stood only moments before. "Except...he's more accepting now..."

"What?" My eyes narrowed as I turned to look at her.

"Well...he always seemed to be...I don't know, fighting to break free from a shadow. Your shadow Magni." She stated outright. "You had won the favor of many gods at a young age...and Modi...well...he had been left to carry the weight of your shadow. Everyone considered YOU Thor's heir...and Modi had to struggle desperately to prove himself an equal."

"I never considered him any less..."

"I didn't say that." Hnoss interrupted. "It just....happened. It's not your fault."

I sensed someone coming...and I really had no great want to speak with them. So, grabbing Hnoss quickly, I formed a portal and we appeared in the entrance hall of Oblivion. My first priority was to seek out the leader and inform him of the situation. My return, and more importantly, how Hnoss would be here for a few days. Yet before I even stepped forward I heard footfalls rushing down the stairs.

"This is where you live Magni? My...it's a magnificent structure indeed....seemingly...endless..." Hnoss stated glancing around. I found myself not listening...hearing for the footsteps.

"Is that you?! I have to talk with you...." Kyxsha's voice could be heard echoing down the stair well. Until she suddenly appeared at the bottom, "...Ximh....?!" She froze in place when she saw me.

I didn't want to say it....I didn't WANT to say the words to her I knew I HAD to say...what I KNEW I had to do. And yet...if I didn't, Kyxsha would never be able to embrace her happiness. No...I HAD to make her hate me...make her despise me...to drive her to HIM. I clenched my fists.

"Who is this Magni?" Hnoss suddenly addressed stepping out from behind me. "She addressed you just now...did she not? Ximh...that is your other name...Magni?"

"Kyxsha." I said aloud, trying to gain momentum. "She is the Nobody known as Kyxsha, she hails from the world of Agrabah and is a comrade of mine."

"Well met Kyxsha, my name is Hnoss." Hnoss announced with a large and kind smile.

"Ximh...WHO is this woman to you...a FRIEND of your sisters? She has the same...feel..." Kyxsha stated...a firm expression on her face.

"Yes, she is a Goddess from Asgard. However, she isn't a friend of my sisters...she is..."

"Don't say it!" Kyxsha suddenly shouted. I paused...had she somehow heard of my engagement?

"Hnoss...take this portal to my room. I need a moment...please." I instructed. Hnoss looked at me with a worried glance. She nodded slowly and stepped through. "Kyxsha!" I stated forcefully, MAKING her look at me. "Hnoss is my wife. I have regained my rank as a god through my marriage to her." I explained.

Kyxsha leaned against the wall heavily. "Why...I didn't want to know...you're just like her..." She mumbled.

"Though there's more." I continued, my fists clenched tightly. The image of her and Yamil on the bridge appeared before my eyes once more...renewing my resolve to continue. "I didn't just marry her for ranking...so don't misunderstand...Hnoss is the one who shall stand at my side Kyxsha...I'm sorry...there's no place for you there. I was a fool...a mortal could never be one with a God. It was a fool's dream...a Nobody's dream....much like us...filled with nothingness. False promises and lies. That's all."

Kyxsha's eyes widened. I could tell that I'd hurt her...and it hurt for me to say those words....how it burned....but it had to be done. I had to make her hate me...make her want to return and perhaps become whole once more. For I had learned long ago...one does not meddle in the affairs of love....else they be scorned in love themselves for an eternity.

She regained her composure slowly and walked up to me, slapping me hard across the face. I took it...almost enjoyed it. "How dare you Ximh...how dare you...." Was all she could say before she ran off.

I closed my eyes. "It had to be done...there was no avoiding it. Besides...you shouldn't have any part of this life...not if you have the chance to be whole again..." I mumbled.

I portaled up to my room.

"That girl was in love with you Magni. You can't deny that...my mother is the goddess of love..." Hnoss began instantly, a strangely serious expression on her face.

"SHE CAN'T LOVE ME!" I snapped. "You didn't see them Hnoss...her and that man..."

"Magni?"

"There is NOTHING there....there can't be....so just leave it. YOU are my wife...and I shall NEVER be unfaithful...I'm not like my father." I spoke honestly.

"I'm not worried about that Magni...I'm worried about you..." She conveyed earnestly approaching.

I smiled. "Why? I'm fine." I feigned. It would pass over time. Slowly as I realized it more and more...I felt the distance coming. "I need to report to my Leader. Will you wait here?"

"Can I come along? I would very much like to meet him."

"Very well, come then." I stepped to the side and opened a portal. We were off to report to the leader.

Ximh

Marriage o_o

It was over. The whole ceremony seemed to pass in a flash. First a night filled with questions...catching up...a large feast in celebration of the event. Then the next morning...the ceremony...and now....I was numb. There had been so many Gods & Goddesses in attendance. Many opposed it...yet Hnoss held her head up high as she'd stood beside me. She wasn't opposed to marrying a nobody...she was almost...happy. And Gersi was no different. Though at least even Domix seemed giddy about that one. I couldn't help but feel sorry for Hnoss...getting ME as a husband.

"I will be with you Magni, wherever you go." Hnoss spoke so sincerely as we stood on the balcony outside a reception-type event. "I don't ever want to lose you again...I missed you so much."

"I didn't even remember who I was." I spoke honestly, leaning on the railing and gazing out into the stone marble garden below. "My memory only recently returned...and pieces are still missing. Up until now...no....even now....I go by the name Ximh. It is the name Modi...no....Domix gave me...."

"...Ximh." Hnoss recited...more to herself. "Would you prefer me call you that? Whatever you wish for..."

I stopped her, placing my hand on her chin. "No." I denied quickly. "From you alone...I wish to hear you call me as you once did. Magni. The name I desire to once again brandish...even if...I can never be that man again."

"You ARE that man. I care not what they may say...to me...you will always be Magni."

I smiled. "And yet...as a Nobody, emotions escape me. Are you really sure you made the right choice. I may not be the loving, affectionate man you deserve. Even now...I am unsure as to the proper actions I must take. I will do what a husband MUST do...yet, I don't know what that is."

She blushed a little and avoided my eyes. "Well...that....comes later..." She stuttered. "Never-mind all that now. It'll come with time...I don't expect you to be perfect. I only want you to be yourself."

I analyzed her a bit...why had she become so...shy? And then I realized it....what she was thinking. I froze. I hadn't even...but it was to be expected right?! "Ugh...excuse me Hnoss....I'll be right back."

I took my leave and escaped to an abandoned terrace. My body was warm...a strange sensation overwhelming me as I imagined it. This didn't seem right though...these emotions were unbefitting of one such as I. I hadn't been hinting to...to....THAT. I'd meant...what was I supposed to do now? I would have to return to Oblivion. Would she be accompanying me? Or was I to leave her here...all alone...even though she was now my wife...

All was decided that night. That wonderfully eventful evening. I would be returning to Oblivion to fulfill my silent promise to Triskix and Lexian. Hnoss would remain in Asgard with Gersemi, and I would visit her as often as I could...to fulfill my duties to her as a loyal husband. Domix was following a similar plan. He didn't wish to anger Xerebus...no matter how little he cared for him...he was still a member of Zero and would ride it out until he got bored.

It was entirely too soon...yet I had to return. I had said two or three days...but I really had to get back...something inside was just urging me to. Domix had already kissed Gersi goodbye and was waiting for me in the carriage...I prepared to say farewell to Hnoss when she came out looking ready for travel.

"Magni. I've come to a decision." She began. "I know this is difficult, since I KNOW you've somewhere you must return. And I will always wait eagerly for your return to me...which I pray will be often...but before you leave me....I wish to go with you just this once. I want to see where you'll live...meet your comrades...I wish to know everything about you. Please...I beg you...do me this one kindness."

My mouth dropped. She wanted to SEE Oblivion? MEET my comrades??? ....Kyxsha....o_o'

"Sure." I slipped.

SURE?! SURE?!!! WHY THE HELL DID YOU JUST SAY THAT?!!!!! WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH YOU?!!! IDIOT! MORON!!! IMBECILE!!!!! My Mind Screamed at me. It must've been her begging eyes....how could I deny her?

She rushed and embraced me. "Oh! Thank you! You won't regret this Magni! I promise...I will act most proper!" Then she jumped into the carriage and sat next to Domix, who was laughing at me...an evil grin on his face....

Sighing deeply, I got in and we headed back to the Coliseum. What had I done?

Hnoss and Gersemi

The curtain rose slowly, as did my eyes. They fell to the bare feet of a gentle and dainty woman. A golden anklet round her ankle, my eyes slowly continued upwards. Her light blue gown was studded with what looked like jewels...all barely glimmering in the light of the hall...as though fearing to take away even a little of her beauty. For as my eyes met hers...it was as though the most beautiful woman in the heavens were before me now. Her fair white complexion, blue eyes and golden hair that flowed like a river of molten gold...she was almost a replica of Freya herself....yet there were not one...but TWO beauties.

Standing just beside the golden-haired marvel...there was another fair maiden. Her red/golden hair was nearly the same length, and she had piercing eyes of emerald. As though they were the gem themselves. Her complexion was a bit darker...but just BARELY and only made so by her dark blue gown. It was tied around the waist elegantly with golden rope...and like the other maiden's...seemed to glow with jewels that only served to "accent" her beauty...not take away from it. I was left speechless....as was Domix.

"Oh my....it really is you...." The golden-haired woman spoke in elegant-shock and clasped her hands over her mouth. Her voice was JUST as beautiful as she was. "Magni...Modi..."

My eyes examined her face once more...she was saying our names as though she KNEW us...the former us at least. Yet I couldn't place her...

"It couldn't be! Hnoss! Gersi!!!!" Domix exclaimed in happy realization.

"YOU REMEMBER?!" The red-haired maiden shouted and rushed Domix. She jumped into his arms in a full-on hug. I was still completely in the dark.

"What's wrong Magni? Don't you remember me at all....?" The golden-haired woman asked quietly. She looked sad...almost ready to cry...and then a memory came back.

"Hnoss thinks she's SO BEAUTIFUL! But look at her ALL ALONE! No one wants to play with you!" Children scorned a lone little girl.

"Please...just give back my doll....she's precious to me!" The girl begged.

"Ha ha ha! This? NEVER! It's going over the mountain and down to the mortals! Then you'll NEVER see her again!" They laughed and ran towards the cliff-edge. Holding a raggedy doll over, they laughed as the little girl fell to her knees ready to cry.

"Give it back now!" A voice rose up from behind. A child rode up on a brilliant horse...the horse Golden Mane. "Didn't you hear me?! I said GIVE IT BACK!"

The children were paralyzed by the grandeur horse...they knew immediately WHO rode it...yet they didn't want to lose merit by cowering in fear.

"Oh yeah! Why don't you make us Magni?! Or do you need to call your father to do it for you?!" They taunted laughing, but taking steps AWAY from the edge.

Magni stepped down from his horse...paying no heed to their taunting and giggling. He walked over to the little girl and kneeled over. He wiped away the single tear streaking down her face. "You mustn't waste your tears on them...they really aren't worth it." He consoled. For Hnoss's tears were gems...of the greatest beauty and worth...not to be wasted on rabble such as this.

He then stood and walked over to the crowd. It was 5 to one...but Magni's confidence was overwhelming. He seized the doll in a matter of moments...and TRIED to go easy on them....yet still they all lay in a pile of mangled and unconscious bodies when he was through.

"Here...your treasure right?" Magni stated bending over the girl as he handed her her doll.

"Yes." She nodded slowly. "Thank you so much Magni...I'll never forget what you did for me....never."

"Ah, it's no problem...if they ever pick on you again just call for me. I'll teach them a lesson they won't soon forget!" Magni laughed, blushing slightly with his hand behind his head.

"Hnoss....THAT HNOSS?!!!" I exclaimed stepping back nearly a foot. "But you're so.....so.....different."

Hnoss giggled. "Yes Magni...but in all fairness....so are you. I worried for you....you disappeared...just like my father. I thought I'd never see you again...."

"I'm not the same as before." I stated flatly. I had to tell the truth. Hnoss was one of my FEW childhood friends...and now she was...my betrothed? "You shouldn't go through with this engagement Hnoss...there are better suitors for you..."

"NO!" She suddenly exclaimed. "I will repay you Magni! I want to do this...if you'll have me! I want you to be able to return...here...to Asgard. I don't care what you are now...you are still Magni inside. I can feel that just by looking at you now!"

"Hnoss."

"I have no objections." Domix suddenly spoke...his voice was almost giddy. Then again...he'd always been completely obsessed with Gersemi. This was like a dream come true for him.

"You better not." Thor finally spoke. He'd been talking with Freya, but now they both entered...smiles plastered on their faces. "This is going to happen. Tomorrow in fact."

"Tomorrow...." I stumbled. This was incredibly soon...how long had they been planning this. Didn't they even care if I had things to settle?!

"Magni...Modi...how you have grown!" Freya stated hugging us both. My thoughts were all a blur as she continued to speak. I didn't hate Hnoss...I really DIDN'T. I just felt so rushed...things that were unsettled weighing heavily on my mind.

"Magni...if you DON'T want this..." Hnoss mumbled with a sad look in her eyes.

I sighed, pulling away from Freya. "There's no problem Hnoss. Everything is fine."

She smiled gently. She'd really become so beautiful...and not just on the outside....
