Darkwing Duck: Midnight Wonderland

Chapter 1: Doubts and Lives

A caped avenger was sitting on the window seal, all alone. She was staring outside at the rain pouring down on St. Canard. Lighting flashed and thunder roared like lions. The rest of the Legacy Ducks team was hanging out in the hideout's secret den. Manaik Mask asked, "Where's Wonderwing Mask?" Everyone shrugged, "I don't know?" Quiverwing Quack replied with a scoff, "You should be able to guess where she could be. If you need help then just guess. Try the window pane upstairs." "Ok, thanks, Quiverwing," Manaik Mask replied as he began to rush off to the upstairs window.
Wonderwing was singing a song to herself when he got there. It was the song Darkwing sang to her when she was a little girl. This song was a new version on Gosalyn's "Little Girl Blue" lullaby, it went like this: "پôClose your eyes...♫♪Little girl blue...♪♫There's a rainbow inside of you...♪♫Red, orange, yellow,-- green,...♫♪Blue, indigo-- and violet, too--♪♫ Relax your head... Little girl blue..♫♪Come paint your dreams...♪♫Little girl blue♫♪ I'll be near--♪♫ to chase away fear--♫♪ So sleep now--♪♫ and dream--♫♪ till tomorrow♪♫ So sleep now--♪♫ and dream--♫♪ So sleep now--♪♫ and dream--♫♪ So sleep now--♪♫ and dream--♫♪ till tomorrow♪♫" She sang the whole song with feeling as she ended it.
"That was beautiful," Manaik Mask replied in such a manner that frightened Wonderwing Mask, because she didn't know someone was standing listening to her. This almost caused her to slide off and out of the windowless window, straight down to the St. Canard streets below, but Manaik Mask was quick on his feet, that he rushed to her and cought her before she fell. "Oh, Manaik Mask, your so romantic..." Manaik Mask imagined her to say. "Oh, Manaik Mask," she began. "Yes, love?" Manaik Mask said in a half out of it dream world and half in a realistic world. "Let me put it in simple terms for ya... LET... ME... GOOOOOO...! Please," She yelled at him kindly as she could 'cause he was holding onto her tightly.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" Manaik Mask screamed as he let go of her. "Thank you," Wonderwing Mask replied in a sigh. "Do... you... have... to... yell... in... to... my... ears... like... THAT!?!?!?!?" Manaik Mask yelled back at her. She just shrugged without comment. The rain had stopped pouring and dawn was rising, "It looks like morning is here," she said aloud. "Of course it is. It's been raining all night," Manaik Mask replied still in anger.
"So, what's the rack about? We could hear you both down stairs," the Calculation replied. "Oh, sorry... I'm going to turn in now. I should have already," Wonderwing Mask replied with a yawn, "Good night," She ended as she waked down the stairs to her room and entered inside. "Come here, Cal.," Manaik Mask whispered to Calculation, "Have you noticed anything different about Wonderwing Mask?" "No. She's always like that," the Calculation commented. "Hm... really? Is she.. always like that? I mean, she's beautiful, I guess," Manaik Mask replied. "Oh, no. So, you getting feelings for her are ya?" the Neon said cutting into the private conversation. "Oh, whoa! Where'd you come from?" Manaik Mask bluntly replied. "Ha ha! It's about time you two hooked up!" Quiverwing Quack also cut into the conversation.
"Ok. This conversation is O-V-E-R!~ OVER! Goodbye!~" Manaik Mask said and walked off in a arrupt tone of muttering to himself. "What got under his feathers?" Quiverwing Quack questioned to the two remaining. "Beats us," the both replied. So, the three remaining headed off into seprate directions. The rest of the day was quite.
That is, all except, that Wonderwing Mask was having a nightmare. "Daddy! Daddy! AGH!" She ended as she fell out of bed. "What a nightmare," She said yawning.
