I know that they're really cheap (like 8 dollars) for ebooks, but I don't like ebooks, I have a really strange thing where if I buy a book I need to have a physical copy of actual pages.

Know what's a funny coincidence? I started watching Spice and Wolf just a few months ago. I haven't finished the 2nd season, but I'm enjoying what I'm seeing so far.

I wish I could advise you on whether to go for the light novels or the manga. I haven't read either. If you're tight on money, just see how many volumes each one has, and what the total cost would be. That's how I would go about it. Also, sometimes things are cheaper online. Good luck.
