We never supported png in the first place. However it is something Adam is considering changing in the near future. But right now the only png support we have is for avatars.
When you don't have auto approval the cards are waiting to be approved. Your friends can see them because they are subbed to you but until it is officially approved it won't show up on your profile.
Uhm, i was just wondering why two of the ecards i submitted the other day wasn't exactly published? I mean, the only person who could see it is the person i've dedicated the cards to. Not even i could see it!
I think the text on both of the cards are fine and readable. Could you guys help?
Hi, not sure if this is the right place for what seems to be a bug for me....
I've been trying to upload a wall for a challenge. Everything is perfectly filled out, like the required fields, the correct file types are being used, and the sizes are correct but I've not been able to upload the wallpaper- I've tried multiple times to no avail, even attempting to upload the wallpaper by itself. Every time after the page finishes loading I'm simply redirected back to the wallpaper submission page with no sign that the wall has been uploaded. ( the green box at the top of the page signaling a successful submission)
The wallpaper also doesn't appear in my portfolio, which leads me to think that there might be something wrong with the submission form for wallpapers! I'm a mac user, using google chrome if that helps.

Oh this place is fine if you have a question. When you go to view your own work there will be an Edit button down underneath where you can see who hugged and favorited it. Click on that and then scroll to the very bottom of the next page where it says: Submission Options. In the drop down menu for that, one of the options is for you to delete a work. Hope that helps.
I know this isn't the right place to say this but it was the only close category....so is there a way to remove some of your artwork, like cleaning out your profile to get rid of old unwanted work or they just gonna stay there forever.

2 MB is the maximum data size. The image heights and widths don't reflect the data size.
What you're probably running into is a wallpaper that's the incorrect dimension. When you tell TheOtaku what image to upload to the site (those three boxes down at the bottom), you can select the wallpaper dimensions from the drop-down boxes to their left. If the width and height of your image don't match up with any of the options given then you'll probably get the error you're describing.
Just make sure your image is the right dimensions. The data size will take care of itself usually.

I wanted to submit a fanword but I don't see the check box for publishing fanwords. is there any other way to submit fanwords? Is there a limit to how many you can submit because I was able to do it on past posts but I can't do it on this post or any onther posts?

You should go to your portfolio, and go to the page of the artwork you want to delete. There you click the 'edit' button on the bottom of the page. There you must select 'Delete submission (careful!)' in 'submission options' and then click the 'share your masterpiece' button.

i have a question about the fan comics. i just submitted a fan comic, called "tiger's scrapbook" but it got declined. i dont know why it did, it just did. could it be becuase i only submitted the title page?
i created the page in gimp, using brushes, a weave filter, and a png i found online. could that also be the reason why it got declined?

Today while submitting a fan character drawing I did, the checkbox for each user to click on as to indicate that he/she did a fan character for an already existing work of fiction is missing in my browser, so I used "fan character" as a tag for my piece.
I tried to submit a comic (three of them actually) and it's always denied. Why? The rules are only about the size and my comic pages are inside the maximum size.
What's the rating for a fanart. I drew something that's kinda close 2 nudity. I mean, it's nearly nude but stops just shy of it. I don't wanna post it only 2 get it ripped off.

Sorry, but, "screw" and "you" are the only words in my vocabulary.
The format must be JPG, like when you scroll 2 an artwork in "My Pictures" it says "blah blah.jpg" if your artwork isn't JPG format I suggest converting it to JPG ^_^
If you submit it, give credit to the original artist, tell what manga it is, tell them it's not yours and explain, so we won't have another "art stealing" riot like last time. XD

when you save a picture, go to file type under file name and click on the more thingy and there should be JPG. Or, upload it on paint and resave it by clicking SaveAs and then do the first steps. Hope that helps^^.
ugh.... i have a question... so im trying to submit some work and i'm filling in all the information i need... and when im done loading it, it says highlighted in red "please upload a file" no matter how many times i try! I've tried jpg. psd. and gif. and none of them r working.... wat should i do?

Can you start accepting more than just JPG stuff. Also make the dimentions bigger, I have soooo many cool picts who's pixles are way more than the requirements. It's just friking HARD for my 13 year old brain to figure it out!! Just accept images that aren't JPG only, EXPAND!!!!!(literally)

My Own Solution:
When the page that says YOUR WALLPAPER HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY SUBMITTED OR something like that, DON'T GO ANYWHERE but go to your BACKROOM.
Then scroll down to the bottom and look at the Random Member's Update, normally it would appeared to be just your wallpaper that you've just submitted.
Click on it to view your wallpaper, this way your wallpaper will definitely show up.
TAKE NOTE THAT:
-I'm just a regular member just like all of you.
-I did really have faced this kind of problem before and I really solved it by using the method I've mentioned here.
-So if you're still can't solve your problem in my way, then please don't either blame me or ask me more about it.
Hey...umm...are u the person who wrote the guidline thingy? If you are, could you tell me why whenever I submit wallpapers and ecards, they dont always come up, even if they are in the requirements?
And I once edited a page of my former manga, it was the first part, but instead of the changes on that part, it was on the cover and it wouldn't change again! why? Why didn't the changes come on the page I needed edited??? And how long does it take for a comic's changes to come up!?
When I tried submitting wallpapers, they just don't appear. I'm pretty sure they fit all the requirements. How long does it usually take for a wallpaper to appear?
I actually had to redo several new images to make them bigger.
Anyway I came to ask where we are still reporting bugs. I went through my portfolio and found one of my pieces had someone else's name under it. But when I clicked on it it had my name on it.
I submitted a e-card, (fit all specs) it worked fine enough, but when I come back there's nothing! no sign of it ever being there! Dark Fox 013 can vouch for it... It also was the first art i submitted.. maybe that has something to do with it?

It's that exact 350x350 limit that's the reason I couldn't upload the new e-card I had made. I was cropping the picture down from a rectangle to a square, and my programs aren't good at getting precise measurements in that case.
However, if you create a Naruto WORLD with lots of great guides inside it, we will publish the entire WORLD.
Just like SomeGuy told me. Perhaps I should create a Doctor Who world after all and post some of the guide documents I've been working on.
i cant submit my e-cards with out changing the size. why does it have to be 350 exactly? can the requirements be the same as the old one. it was much easier to submit work that way.

What's with the eCards needing to be exactly 350 by 350?! I don't see how that's helping anything, and it makes it more difficult for me to submit them since I don't like messing with the proportions of stuff.

How do we take down the pictures we don't like anymore? Seriously, it said in the original terms of use thing that the works we submit are the property of the site until we choose to remove them or delete our account, but there's no way to do either as far as I can tell! So basically you're holding my pictures hostage, which isn't nice. I want my art back!!

First the wondering...
I do wallpapers and Fan Fic's and know there is a 24 hour submit guide line now. What I was wondering... Is it a 24 hour submit on one of each feature or is it a all over ONE thing submit, where you can only submit one feature in 24 hours.
The reason I ask is because I keep getting that crazy 'Oops! Sorry only one submission in 24 hours.' Page when I try to submit something and I know it has been over 24 hours for what ever I have added (be it the same thing or different)...
The Bug...
I have been seeing double in my Wallpaper portfolio... heehee, I have tried to delete it and it will not delete and I do not see the Wallpapers twice in the general population of the Wallpapers only in my portfolio. Plus the count is wrong on the main page of my portfolio it says 1,006 and once opened to see them all it says 1,012 or something like that all I know is the count is different between the two... the count in the open paged to 'view all' is right the other is wrong...
Oh one more thing, if someone has already submitted a Fan Word, and wondering if it had gotten to the the Fan Word Mods (I have because of this 'Opps! 24 hour submit thing). Can the same story be resubmitted (in the same file) or is it kicked before it makes it there...
I ask this because the first Fan Word I submitted was submitted accidental and I resubmitted it(when it was right for submitting, in the same file). When I went to Someguy about it, he told me he never seen it the second time around or so he could not remember seeing it a second time around. I resubmitted it to them (in and new file) and it was featured, but for future Submissions and with the bugs still in here, I was wondering because I am still waiting to see a Fan Word to be featured... and if the 'Oops! 24 hour thing' kept it from getting to them, I want to resubmit it...
I know there are still buggies creeping around in here and you are doing your best to get them all killed. Your time is pretty full of just taking care of that stuff I know, but these are a couple of questiones I would love to see answered if not by you at least some one...
This might be a little wierd but this there a place that has both site "How to" and Definitions. This way I can understand how to use all the new features, why different things come up, where some features are and just what somethings in gerenal are.
Personnal I would also like a list of "We know about these bugs". That why people don't need to resend them and know that they are being handled. (I know I would like to know if my problem was being handled.)
Maybe I'm just being ignorant and missing the explanation, but my fan comic, because of the sizing differences, has become distorted... I would just like to know what to do to get them less fuzzy. They are within the size requirements and all, but I'm just slightly baffled. Thanks.
I really want to know what the guidelines are for wallpapers, especially since some of the ones I've done recently are 1920*1200 and won't show up even though they apparently registered.

While you're putting together these guidelines, could you put up some information on the different post types available in Worlds? You know a little blurb for each explaining what kind of content makes a post fit into one of the types. For example, what makes a post a "Feature"? Fiction, and Guide are self-explanatory, the others come with shades of gray that make them a little ambiguous.

Hi Adam.
I have a problem with submitting one of my fan arts. I made it in manga studio the site won't except it said that the file size was too big but before it excepted my other art work that I did in Manga Studio I don't understand what's wrong. Can you help me?

i have a question about the fan comics. i just submitted a fan comic, called "tiger's scrapbook" but it got declined. i dont know why it did, it just did. could it be becuase i only submitted the title page?
i created the page in gimp, using brushes, a weave filter, and a png i found online. could that also be the reason why it got declined?
just wondering what i could do to make sure that i'm not going against any unknown rules. i was wondering if maybe i can't create the cover using png's but rather drawing it myself?
i hope these arent too hard of questions to answer, but i'm new to the comic area, and i'm just asking "noob questions" lol

I've found that sometimes even when the dimensions are ok
(1500 X 2000) the file size may have too many mega/gigabytes MB-GB

Today while submitting a fan character drawing I did, the checkbox for each user to click on as to indicate that he/she did a fan character for an already existing work of fiction is missing in my browser, so I used "fan character" as a tag for my piece.

The format must be JPG, like when you scroll 2 an artwork in "My Pictures" it says "blah blah.jpg" if your artwork isn't JPG format I suggest converting it to JPG ^_^

when you save a picture, go to file type under file name and click on the more thingy and there should be JPG. Or, upload it on paint and resave it by clicking SaveAs and then do the first steps. Hope that helps^^.

Can you start accepting more than just JPG stuff. Also make the dimentions bigger, I have soooo many cool picts who's pixles are way more than the requirements. It's just friking HARD for my 13 year old brain to figure it out!! Just accept images that aren't JPG only, EXPAND!!!!!(literally)

Problem:
Submitted wallpapers won't show up
My Own Solution:
When the page that says YOUR WALLPAPER HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY SUBMITTED OR something like that, DON'T GO ANYWHERE but go to your BACKROOM.
Then scroll down to the bottom and look at the Random Member's Update, normally it would appeared to be just your wallpaper that you've just submitted.
Click on it to view your wallpaper, this way your wallpaper will definitely show up.
TAKE NOTE THAT:
-I'm just a regular member just like all of you.
-I did really have faced this kind of problem before and I really solved it by using the method I've mentioned here.
-So if you're still can't solve your problem in my way, then please don't either blame me or ask me more about it.

I actually had to redo several new images to make them bigger.
Anyway I came to ask where we are still reporting bugs. I went through my portfolio and found one of my pieces had someone else's name under it. But when I clicked on it it had my name on it.

I submitted a e-card, (fit all specs) it worked fine enough, but when I come back there's nothing! no sign of it ever being there! Dark Fox 013 can vouch for it... It also was the first art i submitted.. maybe that has something to do with it?

It's that exact 350x350 limit that's the reason I couldn't upload the new e-card I had made. I was cropping the picture down from a rectangle to a square, and my programs aren't good at getting precise measurements in that case.
However, if you create a Naruto WORLD with lots of great guides inside it, we will publish the entire WORLD.
Just like SomeGuy told me. Perhaps I should create a Doctor Who world after all and post some of the guide documents I've been working on.

What's with the eCards needing to be exactly 350 by 350?! I don't see how that's helping anything, and it makes it more difficult for me to submit them since I don't like messing with the proportions of stuff.
Fix it maybe? Because otherwise my eCards are going to have a lot of unnecessary black borders...

Seriously, it said in the original terms of use thing that the works we submit are the property of the site until we choose to remove them or delete our account, but there's no way to do either as far as I can tell! So basically you're holding my pictures hostage, which isn't nice. I want my art back!!

I hope you are still checking these older posts because I am wondering about something and here to report a Bug...
First the wondering...
I do wallpapers and Fan Fic's and know there is a 24 hour submit guide line now. What I was wondering... Is it a 24 hour submit on one of each feature or is it a all over ONE thing submit, where you can only submit one feature in 24 hours.
The reason I ask is because I keep getting that crazy 'Oops! Sorry only one submission in 24 hours.' Page when I try to submit something and I know it has been over 24 hours for what ever I have added (be it the same thing or different)...
The Bug...
I have been seeing double in my Wallpaper portfolio... heehee, I have tried to delete it and it will not delete and I do not see the Wallpapers twice in the general population of the Wallpapers only in my portfolio. Plus the count is wrong on the main page of my portfolio it says 1,006 and once opened to see them all it says 1,012 or something like that all I know is the count is different between the two... the count in the open paged to 'view all' is right the other is wrong...
Oh one more thing, if someone has already submitted a Fan Word, and wondering if it had gotten to the the Fan Word Mods (I have because of this 'Opps! 24 hour submit thing). Can the same story be resubmitted (in the same file) or is it kicked before it makes it there...
I ask this because the first Fan Word I submitted was submitted accidental and I resubmitted it(when it was right for submitting, in the same file). When I went to Someguy about it, he told me he never seen it the second time around or so he could not remember seeing it a second time around. I resubmitted it to them (in and new file) and it was featured, but for future Submissions and with the bugs still in here, I was wondering because I am still waiting to see a Fan Word to be featured... and if the 'Oops! 24 hour thing' kept it from getting to them, I want to resubmit it...
I know there are still buggies creeping around in here and you are doing your best to get them all killed. Your time is pretty full of just taking care of that stuff I know, but these are a couple of questiones I would love to see answered if not by you at least some one...

This might be a little wierd but this there a place that has both site "How to" and Definitions. This way I can understand how to use all the new features, why different things come up, where some features are and just what somethings in gerenal are.
Personnal I would also like a list of "We know about these bugs". That why people don't need to resend them and know that they are being handled. (I know I would like to know if my problem was being handled.)

Since this is an FAQ, and my question does relate to submissions, I'll ask here.
While you're putting together these guidelines, could you put up some information on the different post types available in Worlds? You know a little blurb for each explaining what kind of content makes a post fit into one of the types. For example, what makes a post a "Feature"? Fiction, and Guide are self-explanatory, the others come with shades of gray that make them a little ambiguous.
