I hope everything works out for your cousin and his wife. I hate that he didn’t come to his senses sooner. Hopefully they will be able to work past this whole thing, and he will learn his lesson.
I don’t care much for people who cheat either. Like you said, if she knew he was married and went along with it, what’s to keep her from doing that to him later on? I always believed that if someone is in a relationship, and is having problems, one should talk to their significant other about those feelings. What's the point of being in a relationship if you can't confide in someone?
It's just like what you said, he brought it upon himself. You did warn him but it's just too bad that he didn't heed your warning. What's done is done.
It's good of you to point out things by raising those questions to him.
You did well with trying to help him and get some senses into his head, although the main damage is already done.
He brought that upon himself and if he wants to continue on with a honorable life, he will have to fix it, alone.
It is very hard, but still possible for him, if he decides to leave some things out and accept the ones that he should.

i think you shouldn't worry too much about him, like you said, he kinda had it coming for doing that to his wife. But i think you handled it well by asking him those questions, so the reality of his mistake could finally sink in.
your cousin is lucky to have you around.
