Welcome to Community Fusion!

(Please Note: This WAS at one point in time a RP, but for reasons, I have closed it. Why would I not just delete the world? Because this rp is filled with memories of my three years on TheOtaku along with all my past and present members. I think it would kill us all to see it all just vanish. It was a fun ride, Community Fusion, and thanks ^^)

Harmony, a place we thought was only in the legends. It was a place where all the half breeds tried to go, to escape the life they lived is, constantly looked down on by the humans. Two years, we looked around the world, we lost some, and gained some, some even gave up along the way believing that such a place didn’t exist. But we made it, we found Harmony. Many of us lived peacefully for a few years, we made lives and were reunited with the ones we thought were lost. All seemed right and in place, until the guardian of Harmony turned up dead.

When we first arrived at the gate of Harmony, we were approached by a beautiful serpent Half Breed. Later, we found she was a god. She was a guardian, one who watched and protected it from those who wished ill on it. We were made aware of what had happened by the god who watched and protected the inside of Harmony. With her dying breath, she sealed the entrance to Harmony.

With this turn of events, we decided to leave, to go back to the human’s world to discover what had become of it. And… What awaited us was a great surprise. Time passes slow in Harmony, while it felt like only a short few years, ten years had passed within the human’s world. Not only that, but all half breeds were forced to be kept by humans. They became nothing more than a servant or pet. Besides that, there were other species. Half breeds who lost their way and became nothing more than a beast, one who mindlessly fights. Cross Breeds, those who were a result of experiments and were a mix of two animals, but just in appearance holding none of the enhanced senses.

All of this… Has become of the Human’s world. Well, there’s no turning back now that the entrance to Harmony was hidden and sealed. All we can do is keep moving forward.

Here's the world where you create your own halfbreed and return to the Human's world after years of a peaceful life in Harmony. Drama, action, and romance, that's what this adventure's all about so don't be afraid to put in a few twists into the mix.

Be sure to post and have fun!

Peace, My Friend.

Kai -

I threw my shoulders back as I walked, trying not to think about how stupid it was that I had come along to begin with.

What had I even been thinking? Bloody twit! That's what I was! I bit back a growl, because, really, if I made any negative noise at this moment, I would probably be tackled and killed on the spot.

It was Pierce's fault! He had to...too just look at me like that, okay! He just had to forgive me for going crazy and almost killing him! Then mentioning Maki and giving me a reason to agree! How could I say no?! I bit my lip.

I glanced at Pierce, who was constantly glancing between me, the quivering, bruised and bloodied guard-freak who was hesitantly leading the way, and the lithe little girl on his back. This made me muse. She didn't look much younger than Pierce, but was so...small and delicate that she looked almost like glass. She had only stirred a couple times in her sleep, whimpering or moaning sadly.

"Hey, Pierce...Is she sick?" I asked quietly, looking at the softly-snowing sky.

Pierce looked over at me, sighed, then smiled a bit, "Hm? Oh...Yeah. She stayed in the snow too long." he looked away, then shrugged. "But, hey, what'cha gonna do?" he sounded a little defeated as he walked a little faster, looked back at me, and gestured for me to hurry up.

I caught up to him, walking backwards and grinning, "Just a cold? Perfect, I have just the thing!" I dug down in my pockets until I found the little vile I stole from the scientists.

Pierce looked at me curiously, and a little suspiciously, "...And that is?" he asked, a bit of an odd look on his face.

There was a little forced smile on my face as I explained, "It's just something I picked up before I left, in case of emergencies." I shrugged, feeling my irises start to try to redden, and stopping them. "A miricle drug they were giving their brain-washed halfers. It cured anything from a bad cough to a sword through your gut, but they didn't use it much, 'cause it only worked on animals, or halfers. I wasn't fond of it, myself--made me feel like I was cheating the universe--but, it saved many a friend back there...until they found out that we'd been stealing it. But, it was worth having people dear to you around, even if it was just for a few seconds before they...before the inevitable took place." I tossed it at him, and looked forward, focusing my eyes on the snow. "Pour a little in her mouth, and she'll wake up good as new and walking in a few minutes...Then, just keep it. Save it for something special." I added, my eyes glazing over and my hair beginning to turn a depressed, muddy brown at mention of the past. I stopped the emotions before anyone could see.

No sense crying over more of the fallen, Kai. Be strong. Serve the universe only, and don't let them get their final satisfaction. Think puppies. Rainbows. Butterflies. Violence. Yes, happy place.

There was a silence, and I thought that Pierce wasn't going to say anything, but my thoughts were broken by a smooth, gleeful voice, "Really?...Thanks, Kai. It's perfect." I looked back to see a smile that shed all things that were still happy and innocent in this world...for a while, I really wanted Pierce's smiles to stay that way. If there was nothing else in the world to live for, I hoped Pierce would keep smiling. "You can call us even." he declared, giving the...I paused a minute and examined her, opening my scientifically-added senses to see what she was...ah, yes, he gave the bird-girl some of the medicine, grinning up at me after a moment and mouthing, "Thanks so much."

My heart thudded a little, and and my hair slipped to a snow-white shade as I grinned back, shrugging, "Jeez, and here I was so worried that I'd never be able to make it up to you." I joked, then let out the breath I hadn't known I'd been holding. "Anytime." And I meant it. I would help him anytime he needed me.

I glanced at the whitherng man who was leading the way...A pang of pity flashed through me. This little redhead man might be a horrible person who would kill any sigle one of us on a whim, but...It didn't mean I couldn't pity him, did it? He looked so scared...I knew what it was like to be abducted by people you didn't know, and even resented...My hair turned a sad, mousey brown as I walke over to the quivering man, who had been strpped of his jacket, and looked down at him as he flinched, cluthing at his red-welted neck, as if to guard it from me.

My eyebrows furrowed. Had I really done that...God, I was such a prick. I leaned down to his height, and looked at him, "Hey...You okay?" I asked, quietly.

He shuddered, walking a little faster, "...G-Go away...I...I swear I'll show ya the place, okay?...Oh, God...Miss...Miss Vana will kill me..." he whimpered, trying not to meet my gaze.

I bit my lip, leaning down again, "Shh, no, you'll be okay." I took off my jacket and gave it to him, "Here, you must be cold. S'alright, I didn't do anything to it, I was just wearing it." He reluctantly shrugged it on, involentarily giving a little sigh of relief.

He looked suspiciously at me, "...Th' hell do y-you even want? Ya hate me, I hate you, so jus' go away." he looked down, "'M dead, either way."

My hair got browner as I looked down at the poor guy. He looked like a lost child who had been misled all his life and suddenly ddn't know what to think. "You don't 'ave to be...We're not bad people, little one. Once you show us where to go, you can leave. No one is your master. No one but you. This 'Vana' woman...Your boss? If she would kill you, she is no boss for you. Love, live, be free, child."

The man was beginning to walk a little strighter, and not cower so far way, "Where will I go?...I was framed fer murder, mate. Miss Vana...she sed' she'd help me if I'd work fer 'er. I agree'd, an' s'not like I didn't plan on workin' fer her--I'm an honest man...or, I was...But, she used 'er money t' set me free, th' innocent man I was...But, y'see, soon, I saw wha' she was doin'...Catchin' li'l creatures like you an' keepin' 'em as pets...S'not a good thing t' get involved with, mate. Not at all. She sed' I'd work a' kill fer 'er, or I'd be worse than dead.

"I saw wha' she did t' the others who tried t' set 'er 'pets' free...Ya don't wanna rise 'gainst tha', I'll tell ya...She told me...treat ya like dirt. Make 'er seem all th' better when she came round t' gather their 'love'. I just...I jus' don't wanna die, mate. M'so sorry." His eyes were downcast, "'Ow would I expect t' escape s'mone t' whom I owe m'life? S'mone who could take m'life?...I can't fully repent fer m' sins, but I wish ya'd forgive me...Seems like you've got yer up's n' down's, too." he sighed, looking away. "We're almost there, by th' by." he muttered.

I put my hand on his shoulder, "I was right. After we get there, leave. Make your own future, little one. Live a new life, with new people, in a new beginning. You can do it, if you'll try."

He looked over at me, "Why're ya callin' me names like 'm a kid? M'older than you are, mate. By at least ten years."

I grinned a little, ruffling his hair before walking back to catch up with Pierce, "Doesn't matter how old you are, 'mate'. Like a child, you've still got a lot to learn. Best of luck, my friend. Lead on."

The girl was slowly starting to wake up, and was currently tumbling alongside Pierce, leaning heavily on his arm in her not-quite awake stupor. When he got a chance to look up, Pierce raised an eyebrow and chuckled, "Same old Kai, eh? Still trying to make peace everywhere he touches. Good luck with that." he grinned, patting my head affectionately.

I stuck my tongue out, "Yeah, yeah, Cow-boy. Thanks for your godly wishes for luck."

We were about to continue our banter when an angry voice ran out behind me, "What were you talking about with that evil guard? Seems like you were too buddy-buddy to be up to any good. Pierce, I think he's on their side. Do something about it."

Continue? That random voice can be anyone, y'know, if you've been stuck in a 'what-am-I-supposed-to-do' stupor, then please include yerself :D

Random Halfer.(anyone who wants to be it)

Oh, Kai and your many mood swings. (sorry for my too-long posts that go nowhere plot-wise)

How 'Bout I Jump In?

Pierce -

I trudged through the snow quickly, occasionally gently urging along some of the weaker looking-halfers as they tumbled in the snow. We would get through this quickly.

We had all decided that we needed to track down the rest of our group. We knew what direction they were in, and the rest, we could tackle by sent. Rika seemed to be the one organizing the group while Ringleader Sky was away(catchy nickname, eh?).

I, deciding to avoid this 'leading' business, was carrying the soundly sleeping Abby. I didn't like taking her in this weather, but we couldn't leave her.

I sighed, looking at the fog that was my breath and trying to move a little faster. Time was of the essence, and we couldn't risk wasting even a moment.

As we were hurrying along, I didn't notice we weren't alone until Rika cursed, and a low, annoyed voice rang out, "And where do you beasts think you're going?"

I stopped dead, looking up. Two more of the guards, these two actually looking like they had some wits about them. One had short, red hair, and the other wore an over-sized cap that covered his face--He was the one I would worry about. I felt it: he was trouble.

The redhead went on, sneering and elbowing his companion, who shifted away at the touch. Yep. Trouble. "Isn't this lucky? A pack of the freaks that we left at that dump!" he chortled, messily pointing his gun at us, threateningly.

I glanced around at our group, who were all in fighting positions, waiting to pounce. They were waiting for Rika's signal.

I tensed, one arm holding up Abby, the other on one of my wooden knives. As soon as Rika justified it...

The red-brat was obliious, "Can you believe these pitiful halfer-demons thought--" all of us froze as he was cut off, and a long brown tentacle snaked around his neck, squeezing.

"Shut. Up." a velvet smooth voice slipped from his companion, and the cap fell off, revealing long, shaggy, brown hair and piercing red eyes that gleamed in the faded light. The man's mouth was curved into a long, venomous sneer as he continued, "I don't accept rudeness, you know." The tentacle snapped back to the man's body, and returned to the shape of his arm, leaving big, bleeding circular welts where they had rested on the redheaded human's neck.

Some of the halfers stepped forward, but the dark-skinned man held up a calm hand, "Leave him. He's still alive, and a boy with such a big mouth must have a bigger will to live." The gentle voice was mocking, and it's familiar ring made my blood run cold...Where had I heard it?

Rika stepped forward, glaring, "You...You're a halfer, aren't you?" she stayed tensed, and ready to pounce.

The man rolled his eyes, both arms extending into tentacles and he stuck out his long tongue, "Nah, really? Are you suuure, Einstien?" he brought his arms back and smiled, holding up both hands in what could be considered surrender, "Yep. On your side, dear." he winked, and at that moment, he seemed to be the epitome of friendliness. More nostalgia. Why was it so...similar to something?"

Rika didn't back down, or calm down, and Moon walked up to stand protectively by her side, "Why are you dressed like the guards? Why are you with one if you're on our side?"

The man tensed a little, his eyes searching the group and landing on me. They narrowed, and his face twitched into a harsh, angry smile, he looked back at Rika and sighed, "I simply found one of those morons and dressed as one, dear. Then joined another so that I could search your group for an old...friend." his smile tightened, and he continued, "I used to be looking for two, but...I found her yesterday; the other one. You all reek of her, so I guess she was with you..." he looked back at me and his grin got tighter and more forced, his eyes became a more prominent red as he glared, "I found my other friend, though, so it's quite alright."

I blinked and had the time to gasp before a long, tentacle snapped out, wrapping violently around my neck, causing me to drop Abby. I vaguely heard her fall on the cushioned snow, and was glad that it wasn't a hard fall. That was all I had time to think about, though. I could only barely breathe as he dragged me to him, so that we were almost chest-to-chest. "Hello." he grinned hatefully, squeezing my neck tighter.

I think...maybe a few people called my name. Who's to know? I barely scraped out, "Wha...Who the...hell...are you...?"

He snorted, "You wound me. We used to be so bloody close, too." More people were yelling now, some my name, others simple, 'what the hell are you doing' comments.

I rolled my eyes, trying to look brave, "...You must...not...have been so...important, then...huh?" I coughed, trying to form a sentence.

His eyes narrowed, "Maki. She's gone. Dead. I know you know this, you ass." his eyes started to look more and more hurt, rather than angry, their red color turning more red-brown and sludge-ish. "I found her. Buried in the snow. What was it? Her illness? Or her wounds?" he continued frantically, "You let her travel. You let her fight. Such great protection..."

Protection. Maki. My eyes widened, "...K...ai...?"

Suddenly, a shrill shriek broke the tension in the air, and both Kai and I looked over, and as soon as we did, he was tackled. I couldn't tell who pounced on him, 'cause my lack of oxygen made my vision all but nonexistent, but suddenly he released me, and I fell in the snow with a dimmed thud, coughing and trying to regain my breathing pattern.

"Pierce!" I heard Ice call, and I looked over to see him, along with a few others on top of Kai, glaring down at him. Ice calle to me again, "Are you alright?!"

I nodded a little, then felt my throat. Blood. Yeouch, damn razor-tentacles. "Yeah. Peachy." I croaked back.

I looked at Kai in time to watch his dark brown hair fade into the old silver I was so used to. His tentacled retracted into arms and his eyes turned into their old black colour. "What the hell was that?!" someone demanded, probably Rika, but I didn't care enough to find out.

Kai looked away, not trying to fight his restraints, and looking vaguely guilty, "Sod off. It's a family affair." his voice was weak and insincere.

"You're related to Pierce?" Ice asked, suspiciously.

"Nope." Kai kept his eyes on the snow. "Maki. Maki was my sister."

The first response from Moon was, "What? You look nothing like her."

Kai looked up and glared, "When you're orphaned, you make your own family, cat-boy."

Rika took over, "So you attack Pierce? What reasoning is that?" she snarled.

Kai met her gaze evenly, his face looking guilty and sullen, and a lot like the sane, calm Kai I used to know, "After a few years in a laboratory, being prodded and tortured, you tend to have anger issues. Rampages, mindless reasoning...You would know about that, though, wouldn't you?" he raised an eyebrow, and as Rika gave him a startled look he hurriedly explained, "You reek of it. Chemicals. Blood. Science." he rolled his eyes, "You understand what I mean, don't you?"

My head was spinning, however, I sat up abruptly and looked steadily at Kai, "What happened, Kai?" my voice was rough but the concern was clear in it, when he looked away from me, I insisted, "Kai...You were never a halfer. What did they do?" every word was drawn out and a little angry. Kai was my past. Kai was alive. Kai apparently had been taken to a lab, and tortured. What. Had. Happened? I didn't matter what he had just done, because at this moment, I was looking at a long lost friend who had gone through hell and was being harassed for it.

Everyone looked at Kai as he looked up at the sky and sighed, "Experiments. They wanted a soldier to fight for them, a human-turned-halfer who would fight for them. They got a halfer-supporter with an attitude..." Kai looked at me, his eyes guilty and sad, "I had been looking for you two...I...I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you, Pierce. I can't...control what they programmed into my brain, this...this thoughtless violence." his voice was so sincere it burned, "I'm so sorry, Pierce." he tried to smile, "I missed you."

Okay. That was it. I sighed, "Get off of him, please." I put up my hand as people tried to complain, and smiled a little, "Trust me? If it backfires, then it's all my fault. My problem. Don't sweat it."

Slowly, the halfers who had restrained him relented, backing up and leaving him, staring up at the sky.

I walked over and offered my hand to him, "'Missed you, too, psycho." I grinned, as he raised an eyebrow, but hesitantly took my hand and got up.
"...Pierce--" he attempted, eyes downcast.

"I mean, no. Reeeaally. I missed being strangled, too. I remember that was always a childish habit of yours, it's so fitting it would be your handy-dandy skill. " continued sarcastically, a grin playing on my face, "And the severe bleeding from my neck? Hey, don't sweat it! I mean, it's not like I have a life to live or anything." I gave Kai a withering look, "I want no grief from you. No crap about how guilty you are and how it kills you that you hurt me...--Don't bloody give me that look, you know that I knew you were gonna say that--no. I want one repayment, and one only." I smiled, and extended my hand, "You join us. If not for me, then for Maki. Join our group, and find Harmony with us."

Kai's eyes widened a little, and he grinned sheepishly, "'Kay, I'm cool with that, but you've gotta convince them." Kai's thumb jabbed at all of the halfers that were either looking at me like I was crazy, or snarling out their two cents on the matter.

I rolled my eyes, slinging an arm around Kai's shoulder and ruffling his unkempt hair, "Fine, I think I will, ya pansy." I looked at everyone, "We don't have time to argue about this. I want no complete and utter denial crap from any one you, because look at Rika." I paused letting them look at Rika, some of them actually did, "Now look at Kai. Rika...Kai. Everyone see 'em? Good. Rika turned out to be a good person. So will Kai...I hope. Don't act like any one o' ya are personally offended--I was the one attacked, and I can forgive and forget. So can you."

I sauntered over to the long-forgotten redhead guard. I lifted him by the collar of his shirt, "We have our free ticket to where our friends are. Let's use it and not argue." I met eyes with the guard and smiled my best crazy-Kai smile, "And, you, my poppet, shall tell us what we want to know."

The guard gulped.

Kai, the Octopus ;)

Your Username: ChiyukiChan -I go by Koda ;)

Name: Kai

Nickname: None, but you can try to give him one, if ya like.

Type of Animal: Octopus

What They Look Like In Animal Form: Simply...an octopus. A silver octopus, usually, but it varies to shades of brown depending on how angry he gets.

Age: He assumes he's about twenty something by now. Maybe less. Maybe more. Probably less.

Birthdate: He decided it would be the day he was sent to the orphanage. September 19th.

Eye Color: A very angry red, that changes to black when he's calm.

Gender: Male.

Hair Style: Long, ragged, unkempt

Hair Color: When he's calm, it's silver, when he's angry/sad it's dark brown. Moods in between vary from the shades between silver and brown.

Full Outfit: He wears whatever he can find. Right now, that's an over sized T-shirt that he found on the street and some baggy, ripped cargo pants.

Tails, Ears, Claws, etc?: Tentacles. Whenever he decides he wants them, he can summon tentacles. Scary, isnit? O.o

Weapon: His tentacles. (Waaay scarier than it sounds, man.)

Personality: He and Pierce used to be exactly alike, really. They're still pretty similar. He's changed a lot, over the years. He's gotten a lot angrier...and more spontaneous...and a lot more bipolar. He's pretty violent, but is a major peace activist. He believes that one day humans and halfers can just live happily intertwined in society, so he dislikes halfers who hate humans, and vice-versa. He loves joking around, and contradicting mind fucks are his forte.

Interests: Men, lollipops, purple things, rainbows, butterflies, cute things, gore, puppies, happiness, death, poetry, cows

Dislikes: Hunters, scientists, hunter-scientist-freaks, dying, hate

Fears: Flowers. He hates them.

Past: His parents took care of him until he was about ten, when his mother died in a car accident, and his father of grief over his lost wife. He was sent to an orphanage, where, he immediately met a little sickly girl named Maki. The two immediately became friends, and made a pact on his second week that they would "always be brother and sister. No matter what."
About a year later, a little boy about Maki's age named Pierce showed up. He was a very quiet boy, so Kai and Maki decided to try to welcome him. They all became close, and were all but inseparable. This went on for years before it was violently stopped.
But, one day the orphanage was invaded by three bulky men, adorned in guns and knives. They ignored everyone in the orphanage, save two little children. Maki and Pierce. "We've got two of 'em here! The beastlings!" They raised their guns, and aimed, slowly walking to the group of three. Kai immediately ordered Pierce and Maki to run, forcing them away. He felt something cut into his shouldere and cried out, then cast one last glance at Pierce's hesitantly retreating figure, "Go! Watch over my sister! Protect her no matter what!" he had urged.
He had then been dragged away, the men muttering about how 'even if he wasn't a halfer, they'd still be able to try out that one experiment on him'. Kai was then taken to a lab, where he was experimented with until they successfully turned him into a halfer though many painful surgeries. He used that advantage to escape, and now he sorts through every group of halfers he can find, trying to find Maki and Pierce.

Relationships/Crush: He's always had a bit of a crush on Pierce...Not that Pierce should ever be told that. ;)

Family: [Not technically, but close enough]Maki(dead)

Friends: He hates everyone. Happily. He doesn't know anyone, and doesn't want to.

Where Are You Going?

Pierce -

I groggily opened my eyes in time to see a lithe silhouette slip out of the hotel room's door.

My first two thoughts were, "Dear Gods, my arm hurts" and, "Wait...who left the room?"

It took me about two seconds to look at my bullet-wounded arm, Abby's empty bed, then speed off after her. What was she dong?!

It didn't take even a minute to catch up with her, and I caught and steadied her as she began to fall. "Whoa, there." I said, turning her around to face me, "What are you doing?" I demanded, trying to to look as angry/worried/emotionally screwed over as I really was.

Abby's eyebrows furrowed and she bit her lip, "I was looking for Alissa..." she looked down.

I let out a sigh, "You can't. Not in your condition." she looked like she was about to protest so I added, "But, I will."

Abby stood up straight, "But, I want to help...!" she attempted, her voice raising minutely to a whine.

"And I can't leave you here alone." I kneeled down, "Here, get on my back and I'll carry you. They're probably long gone from this hotel, so we need to get out."

Abby looked at me for a minute, then tried to smile as she got on my back, "...Alright."

As soon as we got outside of the hotel, we found that we weren't the only ones who had been left at the hotel. There was a small group gathered up and conversing.

"Hey." I called, drawing their attention, I nodded my head in lieu of waving, "Did ya miss us?"

That Rika girl looked over at us, and then at Moon, "Okay. I think that might be all of us, then."

Moon shrugged.

I walked up to them, "Everyone else has been taken?" I asked.

Rika--Gods, I hope that's her name, cause I'll feel stupid otherwise--nodded, "Yes."

"Huh." was all I could say, because three familiar figures raced toward us, "Ice!" I called, glad to see a truly familiar face.

He and Nanuke were half-dragging Shadow as they approached us. Nanuke looked at all of us and explained, "They took Kallik and Echo." she said gravely.

I just felt the need to post.
Rika, Moon, Nakuke, Ice, Shadow, and Abby were all at least mentioned in there. ^^;;

Memories

Pierce -

I tied together my fishnet sleeves until they were almost fabric, then used the bathroom in the hotel to wet the make-shift cloth.
I sighed, then placed the cold rag over the small girl's forehead, wincing as she shuddered.

I sat back down on the floor, watching Abby as she battled a fever, her face flushed and eyebrows furrowed. She looked like she was having a nightmare.
I got up and paced for a moment, constantly checking outside of the small room to ensure there would be no more guards.

I looked down. Still none, thank the Gods. I walked back over to see Abby whimpering. I leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to her forehead before reclaiming my place on the floor.

How did this happen, anyway? Abby had helped remove those wretched bullets from my bloddied arm, and then...I dunno, somehow we ended up kissing. I blushed, frowning at my hands...

Why had I done that...? I smirked a little as I remembered one of the long repeated conversations I would hold with my...er...with Maki's older brother. Kai.

"Oi, Pierce!" The familiar voice was one of the most entrancing I'd ever heard as it's owner ruffled my hair affectionately.
I shook off the tan boy's hand, "Oi what, Kai?" I returned the boy's mischeivious grin as he met my eyes eagerly.
"I've discovered the answer to every question in the whole world!!" The childish grin on the boy with silver hair's face grew drastically as I began to try to measure the lameness of what would surely be in his answer.
I deadpanned, but then gave up and just gave a weary smile, "And, Sir Einstien? What is this grand answer?"
A lanky arm snaked around my shoulders as Kai stated proudly, "Sexual tension."
I sighed, "What?" I snickered, "Sorry, Kai, but you're off your rocker. Good luck with the crazies."
"No, seriously! If you can't think of an answer, then that's just...like, it! Try it, man!"
I gave him a look, "Okay, fine. Why does everyone hate us?" I recited the question that we made fun of the most. Back when everyone around us didn't matter 'cause we were never lonley with each other.
"Sexual tension. They can't handle how utterly sexy and amazing we are." Kai flipped his shoulder-length hair back to excentuate the 'sexy' remark.
I burst out laughing, "Yeah. But wouldn't that answer get, oh, I dunno, awkward sometimes?" I asked, knowing I could dampen his spirits.
Kai wasn't affected, "Nope! It's fool-proof, Piercey!" he kept his air of arrogance about him no matter what, was the thing with Kai. I always admired that.
"Uh-huh? So, Kai, why are you always coming to me with such stupid ideas?" I asked, challenging his ultimate answer.
At this, he finally faltered, "...Uh...Sexual tension...?" he tried, but began laughing hysterically. "Well, if the ultimate answer says so, it must be true!" he waggled his eyebrows at me, but failed at looking serious. He was still desprately laughing.
I smirked and laughed too, "Sorry, man! No offense, but you're not my type!" I countered.
"Because of sexual tension." he chimed in musically.

The last thing I remember about that day was Maki scolding us about how improper such words were. And laughter. So much laughter and so many more bad jokes...Just memories of better times.

I couldn't help but grin at the memory. That answer may not apply here, but it was good for a smile.

I sighed sadly, still smiling. "Sorry, Kai. Your ultimate answer fails yet again."

Abby muttered something unintelligible, and I quickly re-wet my make-shift rag and placed it on her head.

I smiled a little as I sat down again. I didn't know why I kissed her. It was terrible for her fever and did cause her to pass out, but...I looked at the little smile that was on Abby's face and gently put my hand over hers.

I would wath over her and keep her safe from the guards until she woke up. I would at least keep one halfer safe as the rest battled somewhere else.

I hoped for all I was worth that they'd be alright.

Abby was the only one other than Pierce in this post! ^^;

Hope this was okay, it had a little bit about back when Kai lived with him at the orphanage. Back when they were little and willing to laugh at anything. XD
