Hello.

My name is Maxie. I seek nothing more than the expansion of the land mass and the growth of the habitat of both people and Pokemon.

Besides this main goal, I have many other, smaller goals, such as beating Team Aqua and their incredibly stupid leader Archie at everything they do and surviving a day working as head of Team Magma with my sanity intact.

This is my personal blog. I hope you enjoy.

...you wish to annoy me further? Isn't that lovely. Well, if you really desire to join my world, read this:

A New Friend...?

~Maxie~

Well, we arrived in Canalave City somewhat early this morning. Archie wanted to go on all the boat rides and everything, but I kinda refused...I told him and Mars to go without me, though. I'm assuming they did...I spent most of my day at the famous library, mostly because it had nothing to do with water. I was reading up on a lot of Sinnoh lore, especially on Mt. Coronet. I didn't realize how interesting and detailed Sinnoh mythology is...It's even more detailed than what we have in Hoenn!

Sometime in the afternoon, a man with spiky blue hair came in and started looking at the same books I was looking at. Eventually we ended up having one of those awkward moments when we both reached for the same book. That's when we kinda started talking to each other. The man was just a little younger than me, but I could tell that he was an absolute genius by the way he was talking. He said something about not finding very many people interested in mythology and began to tell me all this really cool stuff that I didn't actually read in the books. For example, he started telling me about the Distortion World - I heard Mars mention the name a few times, but usually in disgust so I never really questioned it... But apparently the Distortion World is where Giratina, controller of antimatter, lives...The man also started talking to me about the roles of Darkrai and Cresselia, who are said to live on the islands nearby. Finally I got around to asking his name, and he told me it was Cyrus.

Of course, I nearly facepalmed. OF COURSE IT WAS CYRUS. Mars had told me what he looked like! I must have just forgotten or something...But anyway, I introduced myself as Mars's cousin, and then we got to talking more, and we shared stories about our respective teams, and so on. I have to say, Cyrus was quite interesting to talk to. Mars had said he was kinda aloof...maybe if I hadn't been reading mythology, he would have been more so? I could tell he wasn't the most social of people, but he really was passionate about the mythology, and he had nothing but good things to say about Mars, too. All in all, he seems like a pretty nice guy. It was nice to have met him.

It was late by the time we left the library. Cyrus said he was going back to Eterna and asked me to give Mars his regards. We're hoping to see each other again when we pass back through Eterna. I think I've actually made a friend, guys!! :D

I met up with Mars and Archie at the Pokemon Center. Mars was altogether shocked that I had met Cyrus, and even more shocked that he had talked to me. Archie and Mars had gone on a few boat rides and spent the rest of the day going to different shops and some sushi bars, apparently. But they didn't visit any of the islands, which means we have to stay here for another day, joy. Honestly, though, after talking to Cyrus, I'm kinda interested in seeing the Full Moon and New Moon Islands. Perhaps I'll see the legendary Pokemon? Ha.

Archie seemed a little sullen when I was talking to him...Maybe he was just tired? He's probably been through a lot lately, what with all the bus trips and delays and then me fainting and the thunderstorm... I hope it's just exhaustion ^^;

Big day on the water tomorrow...better prepare myself -_-

A Lesson on Windy Days

~Maxie~

Don't ever. Ever. EVER. Let your Shiny Drifloon out on windy days.

We spent half the day chasing Apollo through the city. It was rather nerve-wracking...We almost lost him twice...It's been duly decided that Apollo will stay inside his Pokeball on any day above a wind speed of 10 mph...

We took a tour of the Jubilife TV studio. Archie was hellbent on getting us on TV -- me, not so much. It was interesting, I guess, but probably would have been more so if Archie wasn't pulling me every which way attempting to find a camera...

We also ran into a very strange character on the way back to the Pokemon Center...He was a somewhat tall guy in a trench coat...He immediately came up to Mars and started talking to her, seeming especially interested in Jupiter. Mars kinda blew him off. I felt almost bad for the guy...But then again, he WAS kinda weird...We asked Mars after he left about who he was. Apparently, his name is Looker, and he's an international police officer. Archie and I have never heard of him. Are we really that off the radar in terms of criminal activity that he hasn't asked about us? I'm not sure whether or not that's a good thing...

Going to Canalave City tomorrow...lots of water...should be fun -_-

((ooc: I SHIP LOOKER AND JUPITER. DEAL WITH IT. >D))

Stormy Weather

~Maxie~

Well, we were supposed to arrive in Jubilife City this afternoon. However, this morning there was an insane thunderstorm. Somehow, Mars slept through the whole thing, but Archie and I were up. I was scared out of my mind...It was a good thing Archie was there with me, otherwise I probably would have gone insane...

But anyway, the storm took a few big branches down on the road out of Floaroma Town, so we had to wait until they were cleared for the buses to start. So that took until the afternoon, so we didn't actually get to Jubilife until the evening...So yeah, we did nothing all day. So fun -_-

Oh! But we've named my Drifloon! His name is Apollo, because he looks like a little ray of sunshine. It's a little cheesy, but I like it and Apollo likes it, so we're sticking with that.

Going to sleep now...possibly...or possibly going to stay up all night and talk to Archie, who knows.

Any Way the Wind Blows

~Maxie~

Sorry for the lack of posting yesterday -- I'll explain that later.

Mars took us up to the Valley Windworks yesterday afternoon. It was interesting seeing how they used wind power to create electricity. While I've studied geothermal power, I'd never really gotten into other sources of power, so it was cool to see it in action. Mars knows the people there really well; apparently, it was the sight of one of her thieving operations a while back. But, according to Mars, she and the workers are "all cool now," so whatever works, I guess.

Now, Mars explained to us that it was always windy along the route from Eterna to Floaroma, but it was really, really windy yesterday. When we came outside the windworks, I -- I kid you not -- almost got blown away, that's how powerful the gusts were. Thank Mew Archie was there to keep me from flying across the field...I hate my Mewdamn weight disorder... But when we got out there, we saw a Drifloon colony getting blown around even more than I was. They didn't seem to be struggling all that much...They seemed to be quite used to traveling by wind. So we watched them all float on alright, already, we'll all float on~! until they disappeared. Finally, the wind died down a bit and Archie could finally let go of my arm... and we began to walk back to Floaroma Town when we heard cries from up in a nearby tree.

It seemed that a poor Drifloon had gotten stuck in the branches as the wind took his colony away! This wasn't an ordinary Drifloon, however -- his colors were completely reversed! I haven't seen many shiny Pokemon; Archie's Vaporeon is the only one I've actually seen up close. But anyway, shiny or not, the Drifloon was struggling to get out of the tree and couldn't do anything! So we couldn't just leave him there, of course! The Drifloon was far too high for any of us to reach, so it took us a little while to figure out what to do. Finally we decided that the branches that started around the middle of the tree could support either mine or Mars's weight, but Mars is a little afraid of heights so I was given the lovely task. I had to get up on Archie's shoulders and everything to actually make it onto the branches, and even afterwards I had a ways to climb. I almost fell twice I think Archie had a heart attack, but eventually I made it up to the Drifloon. It took a little finagling and three more almost-falls but I managed to free the little Pokemon. The Drifloon was overjoyed, and he began to snuggle against me, which caused me to lose my balance.

Yeah, that time, I really did fall.

By some sort of miracle, Archie caught me. What was more miraculous was that he didn't drop me. But it was embarrassing all the same... The poor Drifloon got so upset, thinking I was mad at him for knocking me out. But how could I be mad at something so cute?! After regaining my composure, we all sat around for a little bit making sure the Drifloon was alright. While he was really friendly to everyone, I could tell he liked me best. We were about to make off for Floaroma Town once more when he began to follow me. Well, thinking about it, the poor little guy had lost his whole colony and had nowhere really to go and no way to find them...So I asked him if he wanted to come along and he got all excited and it was really cute, so I just kinda tossed a Pokeball at him and that was that.

So yeah, I caught a shiny Drifloon. No biggie.

We're still trying to figure out what to name him. Archie insists on helping me pick out the name. We've gone through a good few, but we haven't found anything that all four of us like. Though honestly, it's only mine and the Drifloon's opinions that really matter...

But anyway, onto why I didn't post. With all that excitement, we didn't really eat lunch. And when we got back to Floaroma Town, we spent so much time focusing on the Drifloon and introducing him to all our Pokemon and so on that we didn't even think about dinner...and I got really lightheaded...incredibly lightheaded...and I, er...(ahem)fainted. Yeah, I didn't actually wake up until this morning...The first thing I saw was Mars yelling at me for not eating and Archie yelling at me for never telling him about my disorder. I guess Mars told him last night... I didn't think it was such a big deal not to tell him... Honestly, I was afraid of looking any weaker in front of him than I already am... But anyway, I've been forced to stay in bed all day, even though I feel PERFECTLY FINE, and was also given FAR too much to eat, so now instead of fainting I'm going to vomit. Lovely.

Oh well, I got to spend the whole day snuggling my Drifloon and having Archie worry about me. I actually find it kind of adorable amusing when Archie worries about me ^^;

Maybe we'll be on the move again tomorrow. Possibly.

Flowers

~Maxie~

They're everywhere.

We arrived at Floaroma Town last night but didn't do anything until this morning because it was so late. It's such a quaint little town--it almost reminds me of Lavaridge back at home. Mars kinda forced us to visit the flower shop, but to be honest I didn't really mind. There were lots of interesting plants and flowers I hadn't seen before--quite a few were Sinnoh natives. I decided to buy one for Courtney, since I know she likes to grow unique plants.

We also stopped by the Floaroma Meadow, which was absolutely beautiful. We got to see so many different Pokemon! And most of them were very friendly too; they let us pet them and feed them...mostly feed them. But it was still fun. I got lots of good pictures. We also bought some Floaroma honey. BEST. STUFF. EVER. Not even kidding. I usually could never just...eat honey...but I tried some of this and I love it. It's like liquid candy...I think I'm addicted...I bought quite a bunch. I'm planning on taking it home and trying to cook with it--wouldn't that be a nice surprise for the team? Some kind of honey-glazed dessert, maybe...

Went out to dinner, as usual. The food was all locally grown. It was absolutely delicious, especially the desserts--berries and honey, absolutely delicious!

After we got all our stuff settled at the Pokemon Center, I decided to go out by myself to visit the Floaroma Meadow again. It's even more beautiful at night...There was a full moon, and the flowers almost seemed to glow...I almost decided to sleep there instead of at the Pokemon Center ^^; But I heard some rustling behind me, and while it was probably just a Pokemon, I got a little nervous and thought someone was following me...A bit scary, to say the least ^^; But I headed back to the Pokemon Center soon after that, and I'm still alive, so...

Archie was still up when I got back. He didn't really question where I was, which was fortunate because he'd probably make fun of me for liking the flowers... But he seemed kinda down...I wonder what's wrong...

((OOC: Good enough to work with, Fiji?))
