This is MaxieBread, where fans of Pokemon (and anyone who wants to) can come together and, as characters, chat, roleplay, post pictures, and all around torture my poor misanthropic tsundere character Maxie.
Who is Maxie?
Maxie is the leader of Team Magma, one of two eco-terrorist Pokemon gangs that terrorize seek to reform the region of Hoenn (Pokemon Generation III: Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald). Team Magma seeks to expand the land mass, creating more room for humans and land Pokemon to spread out and live more comfortably. Don't confuse them with Team Aqua, who just want to flood the world. After the large debacle that was Pokemon Emerald, Maxie has decided to revise given up his dreams of reviving legendary Pokemon and now simply runs Team Magma as a conservationist group ha.
What is the purpose of this blog?
Um...read the top part? Kidding, kidding. This is just a place to have fun with Pokemon that involves one of if not my favorite Pokemon character.
What do I need to join this blog?
Just choose a character from Pokemon that you want to be! People can have as many characters as they want. Just a request: Please take game versions over anime versions? For example, Red instead of Ash, Green instead of Gary (Yes, not Blue. Green.)... My Maxie is the one from the games, not the one with the odd voice from the anime, and I'm going on the basis of game events versus anime events.
What if I don't know about Pokemon?
If you still want to comment on things, "anon" comments are still fine--for example, you don't know Pokemon, but you still want to send comments making fun of Maxie. He'll respond as if you were anonymous.
Also, if you're new or haven't actually played Pokemon, but still want to be a guest poster, etc., feel free to send me a PM asking things like, "Do you have a good character for me to be?", "Please explain the events of this game?", "Who is this character?", etc. I will always be glad to help! Also, Wikipedia and Bulbapedia are great sources!
What can I post?
You can post pictures, messages to Maxie, roleplay starts, etc. Pictures are pretty self-explanatory...Random messages to Maxie are fine, but if you want to respond to/talk to other characters without involving Maxie, please use the comment section! For example:
Acceptable: "Hey Maxie! You're a stupid ginger! Love, Archie"
Unacceptable: "Hey Tabitha, wanna make me lunch? Love, Archie"
Acceptable: "Hey Tabitha! Did you hear that Maxie is a stupid ginger? Love, Archie"
(The third one is acceptable because it involves Maxie, who will probably proceed to smack Archie with a shovel.)
Roleplay starts can be a simple paragraph (or longer) written in a more narrative style than just regular comments, followed by an OOC "continue?". The roleplay can then be continued in other posts until it ends (which can be whenever). Roleplays can and probably will run at the same time that other postings will.
How do I post?
All I ask is that before every post/comment you make, put your character's name so we know who is speaking? This is incredibly important if people have more than one character. For example, all my blog posts and comments will start as "~Maxie~". That's it!
