Fan Art Challenge: Valentine's Day '10
I made a bet/deal with my boyfriend that I could stay off the laptop/desktop or any sort of that for a whole week. (This is also for my own benefit, lol. XD) So after today, I won't be on till the 26th, or 27th.
For those of you who are waiting on me to finish your requests and whatnot, you will probably have to wait awhile longer. Sorry! I was going to get to the challenge winners first before the other requests still undone from last year, but I thought I'd just do them all in order. =T
One person I know will be reading this post is AvariceTears. Your most recent request of Akinauni and Ezio is listed 15/16 total requests. I have another one of your requests I have still yet to do which is ordered 7/16. See full list.
That's about all I came to post about. Apologies for the huge delay! I'll try my best to work on these requests while I'm offline. =X
What's with people playing roles of Bleach characters? I don't really get why they do that; I find it really weird. >_> Like can't you just be yourself?
And I don't know if these people are already members on the site, but created new accounts to roleplay. If they did, I think it's a waste of space, and theO should delete those accounts... >_> Not to be mean or anything, but I'm just thinking about how... not beneficial it is? Iono [what I'm saying anymore]. XP I'm just wondering if it's like taking up bandwidth/making theO pay more for unneeded accounts. I don't know how accurate that is, lol. I don't know how it works, or if I'm using the right terms. @_@;
But I do think it would be a good idea if theO started clubs/groups, that sort of thing. 8D
Well aside from that, I'm finally done with all the apology art for my Secret Santa event. @n@ Now I can finally work on the requests from a bunch of other people that I never got to. ><; After that, I'm planning to take in more requests. XD I'm thinking of giving out free chibi-like doodles, lol. What do you guys think? 83
So AvariceTears motivated me to do this; thank you! :D
I have always wanted to take people off my list of subscriptions, but didn't have the "guts" to because I was afraid of how bad it would make the other party feel. But after reading an article on deviantART, I think different. Read this:
4. Comments are never a given thing. Never take comments for granted. That said, appreciate and answer all feedback! A "Thank you" doesn’t take one minute to type and it means a lot to a person who’s spent more than a minute to comment.
And that is what I do now; for my subscribers who regularly comment on my things, as I do with them, I don't always reply with a 'thank you' because I don't like to fill my comment boxes with those. But it is implied, which is why I started adding the footer to all my submissions:
. . .
If you hug and/or favorite, please leave a comment!
Feedback is always welcome and appreciated!
Thanks to all those who leave comments!
. . .
And if it's someone who I'm not subscribed to, I go to their portfolio and comment on their stuff in return. It's how I do it now.![]()
Anyway, this post isn't a lot to worry about for most of you who are probably reading this (which is my subscribers), because many of my subscriptions were not mutual (
). But it's something to learn, lol.
And there's just something I always wonder... I have so many subscribers, but what are they doing subscribing to me when they don't seem to be coming on my page? XD
(Wow, I haven't posted here in awhile, lol. It's a good thing I don't spam you guys with my nonsense, huh? XD)
Well, it's a new year alas! Happy 2010!!
I think that number sounds so cool... Twenty-ten... X'D
Well, I don't know how New Years Eve went for you guys, but for me, I went out with my boyfriend and his friends to watch the ball drop (NYC). Unfortunately, I didn't actually get to see the ball drop because the smoke from the fireworks covered it... =_= And the whole experience would have been more enjoyable if my feet weren't bathing in my boots, lol. x_x; And unfortunately, no videos or photos... It was kind of really packed, so we hardly had space to reach into our pockets to get our phones, lol. But I wouldn't regret having gone; it was a good experience although not exactly most amusing. It was the time spent with my boyfriend tonight (yes, I recently got back—It's 2:37AM) and having experienced it with him... =3 I just probably won't go a second time. XD
Anyway, a new year! Time to think of those resolutions... XD
A couple I have in mind are:
...And I think that's all I can think of right now, lol... Don't discourage me! >O<
What are your resolutions? =)
...I'm hungry. D8
