    i think when a character is dying like yoite at nabari no ou it really makes me sad . he had a very bad past and in the end he died.

    I Agree my friend^^ The music makes the anime alot more sad then it actually is..Along with the characters past

    Yeah, I think the background music and the character's death are the biggest factors.

    i think its the characters death *flashback of all the epic deaths that were sad* of course the music and story line do have a lot to do with it >.<

    I sort of agree. For example, in my opinion Elfen Lied would have fallen flat on its face if not for Lilium. But the character's past/sacrifice do play major components.
