What the heck this is so interesting. I want to know what happens in the beginning/middle now, haha!
The imagery in this is freaking fantastic. Describing her cheeks as threatening to crack like China (tying it back into the title--China dolls, so clever!), and then that scene with the knife. You made the most violent scene ever appear so serene, which served to only make it more horrifying. I love it!
