My school has zero Halloween spirit in the first place, but since I had an exam and a presentation on Halloween day I had to tone it down a bit. I ended up wearing all black plus a No Face mask and I was actually pretty popular! :)
When I got back to the apartment, I got some pictures with my suitemate who was dressed as Kiki, from Kiki's Delivery Service.
I was a member of the Reebel Alliance (Star Wars) to Endor): basically, a big camo fleece poncho I threw on over my black shirt and jeans since that's what I wore to work. But I did cut up an old khaki skirt to make one of my teddy bears look like an Ewok.
I was Lenalee (D. Gray-Man) except my hair was shorter (hair cut </3, no wig) and my exorcist badge kept falling... Was fun but hard to comply with the weird weather. Gotta fix the cosplay again...
I'm not dressed up as anything right now. But lately I've been using two costumes over and over for the past decade, give or take.
The first costume is just a fox hat and tail. I purchased that at a con. Not much of a costume, but it gets the job done. I wore it last year for a party. Note to self: Don't wear a Naruto jacket with a fox hat and tail unless you want them to think you actually ARE Naruto.
The second costume is 1980s Jon Bon Jovi. Don't laugh. The downside to this costume is that NOBODY knows who I'm supposed to be. First they think I'm just a cowboy. Then I show them my handmade "Slippery When Wet" t-shirt. That's when they say, "I don't get it."
Call it karma. Call it luck. Me, I just don't give a... BOUNCE!
I'm going as 2D of Gorillaz. I'm not much of a costumer, so it's good that I'm going under the cover of night. Here's a tip to my fellow beginner costumers :do not attempt to write on a t shirt with arcrylic paint.
