hmm...Most transformed vampires don't have special powers. Most of them usually pick up magic. Purebloods are mostly created from scratch in the mind of the creator so they can make them psychic or have other super talents.

then there is a detailed way of mating. A transformed vampire can't get pregnant/impregnate a human or vampire unless its a certain age and it depends on the sex of the vampire. Purebloods can get pregnant/impregnate a human/vampire anytime regardless of age and sex.

um...transformed vampires can walk the real world and dream world, but purebloods would have to release their bond to the dream world and can only visit during sleep(or the cursed room in the main clan's manor)

That's all I can think of at the moment...I'll flip through my story and see if there's anything else.

your power sounds great, but I want to stray as far away from Twilight as possible. I ended up having to rewrite my book because when I finally got to read her crappy book, some of my ideas were already taken :( I don't care about the whole glass in the arm thing, it was my idea first and I'm keeping it. Also, newborns aren't stronger than adults(that's a very stupid idea) or become bloodthirsty over a single drop of blood....gee, Twilight has ruined everything, I might have to just wait ten years and THEN publish my book....

That said, i actually do kinda have a vampire character, though i only made her so i could have her kill Bella and then Mr. Sparklypoo would go commit suicide by flashingsparkling a crowd of people. (It's like the ending we actually wanted! 8D) Her power was, fittingly, the power to cancel out any and all powers(aside from her own) within a ten mile radius at will, thereby rendering Bella defenseless, not that she actually needed to as i think Bella would've been a relatively weak Meyerpire once she got out of the 'newborn' stage. :T
But yeah, not sure if you'd accept that as her power... lD

btw any particular advantages or disadvantages of being a Pureblood vs a Transformed?

um no vampires older than 2300 years old and no vampires that were transformed at the age of 5 or younger

on a side note, pure breeds are created and some are even born. The ones born stop aging between 18 and 21.

• Their fangs are hidden until they are hungry(signs of hunger is cold to the touch and black eye color)
• When full, they can blush, feel warm, and appear to be completely human
• Newborn vampires' eyes when hungry have a red rim around the iris(the color part) and usually fades away after a three month span.
• Their hair grow abnormally fast
