Ive never bought an ebay suit
Can anyone recommend a good ebay seller with quality lycra zentai suits? I’ve never bought an ebay suit, but I want to give it a try. I trust this seller more than anyone else I’ve bought suits from for good reason. I have 13 suits from him and the only ones that don’t fit perfectly are the first two I ordered and I gave him a bit larger sizes due to getting previous suits from other sellers that are a bit too snug. These suits are baggy, but hey they work great as 4th or 5th outer layers.
I’m actually thinking of ordering some more suits to get me through the fall and I’m most likely going to be ordering from him. The price is the cheapest and the shipping is the fastest too, which is weird out of all the Chinese sellers. I’ve got black spandex bodysuit to my mailbox in less than a week after ordering–standard shipping. I seem to be experiencing the same issues. I’m trying to get my suits modified and I’ve sent them messages through eBay and no response. I posted my modification requests in the little note areas of PayPal AND on the individual suit orders themselves.
Ive had done has been a great fit
Pumpers does good work the custom fitting is pretty straight forward find your closest size and make adjustments if necessary. Chances are the pic on the site of the zentai costume is one that was a generic size and didn’t quite fit the model. Every one I’ve had done has been a great fit. The most recent one though I tried it on a couple of times while they were making it. My only complaint really is a couple of times I’ve had problems with the hem in the sleeves and legs coming undone I suggested a fix for it and I think they are using it now. I still have the first unicolor zentai they did for me 10 years ago it pretty much had daily use for about 4 years.
I have been doing costuming off and on for many years about 6 years ago pumpers went thru a phase they were doing a lot of third party work and the one offs weren’t a priority and taking a long time to get. I ordered a suit 6 weeks before spandex in 98 when the time came it wasn’t done, but was waiting for me when I got back. So I started into making my own creations. Believe me a lot of errors and failures. 6 years later I have literally thousands invested in machinery, materials and still produce a few utter failures. Most of the costs were recovered doing metallic zentai suit and sleep sacks. I still get stuff made though when it’s something I don’t want to do or is from some weird material I either can’t get or the minimum order is more than I need.
My advice for starting is to start small shorts, briefs things like that. Putting a zipper in spandex is not an easy thing to do it took a long time for me to really get it right. Make sure you have a machine that does a stretch stitch a straight stitch won’t work it’ll pull right apart.
