I have tried the "drawing in pencil, inking it, then erasing" thing but it's always still fuzzy. I really want photoshop, but till that happens I think I'm going to try that who blue or red thing. Sounds pretty neat.
^_^ Actually, yes, I do have photoshop and that's what I use. But, before I had it, I used MS Paint erased the extra lines I didn't need. It's not hard, just takes some time.
BUT! Here's the trick.
Draw your sketch in blue or red pencil. THEN, ink it with black ink. When you scan it, set the scanner to scan "Black or Text Only" That's how mine come in so well.
Another trick I use is that I draw the sketch in pencil, then ink with black ink and erase the pencil lines. This way is usually the one that produces the cleanest lines for me.
Really, what you have to do is try different tactics and see which ones work best with your scanner and computer. It's all trial and error.
How do you get your line art to be so clean that when your coloring it and what not you don't have to worry about fuzziness from the scanned lines causing the color not to go all the way to the lines? Is it just another one of the awesome features of photoshop (which I do not have) that I can not fully grasp(due to the not having it and all)?
I'm just wondering because your art always looks so nice and clean.
