Gathering dust...

I don't respond to a lot of my comments...sorry. I love them and am so grateful to receive them, but I usually only respond when I have something interesting to say. :/
So sorry if I offended anyone with this habit of mine. ;___;

inuyasha, cosplay

Cosplaying human Inuyasha, still need to make Tessaiga. Patterns somewhat
historically accurate (aka no elastic lol), 100% hand-sewn for...some reason.

Con season is coming!

Won't be in SoCal this summer, so I'm missing out on Anime Expo and AM2. ;A;

BUT. Since staying at school for research puts me on the East Coast, I am within reach of Otakon! ;www;

Current cosplay plans:

Nostalgia cosplay

I've been cosplaying since eighth grade (currently a college sophomore) and I've done characters from FF7, Hetalia, .hack//GU, Odin Sphere, One Piece, Tiger & Bunny, Vampire Knight, Kuroshitsuji, and probably a couple more.

Yet I've never worn an Inuyasha cosplay to a con, which is strange since it's the series that got me into anime in the first place and the passion has never totally died (as you can see from my fanart gallery...)

I've more or less decided that I HAVE to cosplay at least one character from this series, but choosing is so difficult.

Inuyasha:
- Well. Um, he's adorable, and definitely the one I'm most emotionally attached to.
- I love his look in the Togenkyou arc, where he's in human form and missing the outer jacket.
- Could probably persuade my friend to come as Kagome.
- We basically have the same eyebrows and I don't have to fuss around with contacts.
- I guess I'd have to make Tessaiga, urgh.

Kikyou:
- What a badass, like damnnnn. She is the reason I do archery.
- Do I have to hand-make a bow or something. .___.

Sesshoumaru:
- Hands down most difficult annoying fucking outfit in the whole series.
- Hands down most unreasonably GORGEOUS design in the whole series.
- Convenient fluffy thing to take naps in.
- Could convince friend to come as Rin.

Naraku:
- I feel obligated to do this since his pre-Hakurei costumes are pretty simple and we have the same hair. Seriously, the exact same hair.

Sango:
- Omg Sango why u so perf, this lady is my queen 100%
- Ehhh, making armor might be annoying.
- Making Hiraikotsu would be buttloads of fun.
- I get to have my own Hiraikotsu, two thumbs up
- Again, no significant changes to hair, minimal makeup.

Jakotsu:
- Great lightweight costume for California weather
- I get to creep in-character eheheheheh

Hey, everyone! Just a general update. ;u;

So I'm leaving for China on Tuesday. First, I'm spending about three days in Shanghai to check out, among other things, the World Expo. I've heard the lines are really (9 hours! D:) really long, so I may not be able to actually go into any exhibits. Or at least not any of the big ones (China, Germany, UK, etc.)
After that, I'm heading back to Wuhan to visit my grandparents and eat and shop and karaoke and work on college apps. The thing that really scares me is the weather. It's predicted to be 96°, but humidity is 84% and it "feels like 114°". 114!? Holy crap! D8
This is when I start to care about global warming. UGH. As if it wasn't hot enough already. Even when it rains it's still hot and you just get a bunch of mosquitoes. >:T
I'll be back in four weeks, and I'll still post when I can. Since none of my scanners work, I'll just bring along a camera and it'll be same as usual. OTL OTL OTL
Guardian Angel is probably going to be finished while I'm there. The main reasons I haven't been working on it as much lately are 1) COLLEGE APPS OH NO 2)I HAVE TO DRAW BUILDINGS OH NO 3)Since I have it planned out, there's not as much drive to get going. Since..I know what's going to happen next. -___-
But! I have nine hours on a plane to motivate me. When I'm done, I can start planning my next project. ;u;

Next:
My friend's started posting pictures from our Hetalia cosplay photoshoot two weeks ago. It's Russia and Hungary, with the Soviet occupation of Hungary during the Cold War and the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. Please take a look if you're interested!

Anime Expo 2010

So aside from my internship stuff, I'm wondering who I should cosplay to AX this year...I'm going Saturday and Sunday.

Prince Lui (Ludwig Kakumei) - I will die from overheating and will need a less shitty wig.
Vincent Valentine (Final Fantasy VII) - Painful shoes, but my lovely foreverCosplay. I think I've worn an updated version to AX every year so far. <3
Seven Years War Prussia (APH) - I need to fix my hat and get a cape.
Russia (APH) - Finish pipe and medal, abuse wig. Sort of common, though... I'll probably wear this only if my Belarus can come.
China (APH) - low-maintenance, not great for showing off. But probably the least heat-stroke inducing. The only real reason would be to sleeve-dance with Happy Paper. <3
Akabane Kuroudo (GetBackers) - I need to do something about my hair... Probably will end in tragedy. I was the only GB cosplayer I saw last year, even though I spent so long hunting down a Ginji to rape. ;____;
Sebastian (Kuroshitsuji) - Sort of a pain to maintain. Don't know what to do with my hair this year.
Zero (Vampire Knight) - I love my gun, but the gatherings are kind of boring.
I probably forgot something.

Unfinished/Considering:
Endrance (.hack//GU) - I have the materials, but it would be a bitch to finish in time. (And I haven't ordered the wig yet)
Papillon (Busou Renkin) - Unlikely, but maybe. LOLOLOL
Neuro (Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro) - Not unless I have a Sai. Wig styling/dyeing will be a pain. And I can't smile like a psychopath in photos because of my braces. Maybe next year.
Mizerable PV, Gackt - Will not finish. Unfeasible?
Gwendolyn (Odin Sphere) - Maybe someday.

The only one that I'm pretty sure I'm cosplaying is Prussia, most likely on Saturday. Whatever I pick, I need to get started soon. OTL
