Oh, man, I'm so very sorry for you and your family. I don't really know what to say, that's just too terrible to sum up in words, you know? Poor fellow, I can't imagine what he and his family are going through right now.
I do hope that he has a swift recovery. It's going to be a tough road, I bet, but I know he can do it. I'll be thinking about your family, okay? c:

But while seat belts do save lives, they can also put us in harms way...
I was in a bad car accident a few years back, and if I was wearing my seat belt, I would have died. The only reason I didn't die/seriously injured is because when we crashed, I went through the window instead of being crushed by the car coming from the other way. I suffered from little more than a concussion, and a few scratches (thankfully no one died...)
I'm not saying people shouldn't wear seat belts, I'm just saying they aren't %100 going to keep you safe.
