It's going at the manga's pace, because the first TV series deviated quite a bit form the manga. I'll just never get used to it since I am already familiar with the first version.
Kind of... It's sort of necessary though- after all, the old fans would get somewhat tired of seeing old stuff, so the faster it moves, the more likely everyone is to watch. At least, I think that's what they're thinking. I do dislike the fact that they left out a few things Where's our epic DUNDUNDUN moment when Barry tells Al who he is?...not that he remembers anyway xD
