Yes, obviously more news would help the situation. I'm just thinking ahead to when there might be more news, like Adam says he's working for. And I agree, smaller images would work also, and four stories would be just as acceptable as six or eight or whatever, even if they're old news. [/pun]

And then there's my habit of casting a glance at the news column when it first changes, and then going back later (sometimes a week later >_> ) to check up on the stuff I didn't feel a pressing need to read at the time. Not remembering where they were kind of makes me more apathetic about the deal, so I suppose a large part of this is just me feeling lazy.

Also obviously, I haven't broached the idea to Adam yet, and I'm still not sure if I'm going to do so, or even if I need to, given the amount of blarf he still has on his plate. (Whether or not he decides to consider it is another issue.)

Really, I was curious if anyone else felt the same way I did. And I'm not advocating a return to the Massive Block O' News on the old version, 'cause that just seems counter to what Adam seems to have wanted to do with VV. As of right now, there's not a lot holding me to the main page when I first jump over, not a lot really catching my eye; and of the art stuff, it's back down at the bottom of the screen again...under the Fan Words, for some reason. But that's an aesthetic call that I'm not completely sure how to handle differently in the first place.

I didn't catch that either but it would definitely be a nice if it displayed more than two.

When we actually get news, I would like to see more than two items. And to really cross my fingers and wish hard, I would like to see the main page more news-oriented anyways. >>; I feel rather out-of-touch with the anime world as of late, since ANN doesn't really post items that interest me terribly. It kind of reminds me of how you can collapse sections of OtakuBoards if you wish. Though the default settings for each forum is for all of the sections to be visible.

It would be nice to be able to set it to match what you prefer though. ^_^

Without more news I don't see much point in expanding the box by default. And even then I think a better solution would be to make the images in it smaller so four entries would fit in the current unexpanded box, then maybe add one more row for six entries unexpanded and twelve with it expanded.

Oh and dont forget that we have almost no news to speak of at this moment so Adam might add more to it when theirs more news

Do we really need to be able to see more? Coz we already have a Highlights list that displays 5 top stories anyway...

I knew about that ^^ I think what Alla means is having 6 in the display box without having to expand it first.

Click the "View All" link down in the bottom right corner of the box and it'll expand out to display six entries. Alternately, there's little arrow buttons on the sides that let you scroll the entries without expanding it.

Oh yeah I would, thats what happens in my IE it has six. I wonder if adam thought about that but then changed it. =/
