Oh yeah, I think that's Dukakis. Michael Dukakis, to be exact. Not Ducaucas. As for the videos, I just wish someone could post them on YouTube so that it would load faster.
So, it was the first. Did you also notice they don't have that much restrictions with regards to time limits then, seeing as it last for more than a minute?
Thanks for your suggestions. I already saw "Peace Little Girl" (really creepy) and "Bear" (actually good). I'll try to check out those other ads. Here's a suggestion of my own: there's this Nixon ad where he gives a eulogy to a girl who died in a war, vowing his dedication for peace at the commercial. I don't really like Nixon and I haven't seen the commercial itself, but they say it's one of the best so you might want to try and check it out.

The I Like Ike WAS the first television commercial. And I just think the Kennedy one is catchy, plus it has one second of this guy with wonderfully creepy eyes.
If you want to see some more good classic commercials, I'd suggest "Peace Little Girl" from 1964 Johnson v. Goldwater, "Bear" from 1984 Reagan v. Mondale, "Taxi Driver and Dog" from 1956 Eizenhower v. Stevenson, and my personal favorite, "Oval Office" from 1988 Bush v. Ducaucas

You know what? I was actually thinking about suggesting these kind of videos for posting in the Watercooler. Those commercials are pretty classic.
I liked Eisenhower's commercial the most since it was catchy for me and the cartoon was pretty nice. When was the last time you saw cartoons used for an election ad? By the way, this was actually one of the first election TV ads in history.
Ike for President, Ike for President, Ike for President.
You like Ike, I like Ike, everybody likes Ike (for President).
P.S. You might want to use some old cartoons with an election twist for your next post. Like "Olive Oyl for President", "Popeye for President", or that Bugs Bunny cartoon where Bugs runs against Yosemite Sam.

Like Erzengel, I almost had a seizure from the pictures changing so fast. @A@
And I'm definitely going to get those both stuck in my head now... Especially that Kennedy one.
I'm actually wishing Ike was running this year. Sure, his being dead is kind of getting in the way of that, but at least that jingle's a thousand times better than Washington's current gubernatorial "the other guys sucks so vote for me" ads.

Perhaps we should bring back political jingle ads? Maybe not, if I were to hear a jingle for McCain, I'd probably go into seizures.
