Besides the obvious (generally stated above). I tend to get super immersed in on subject/interest for a short period of time (days to months). This can include internet researching the subject, looking for and purchasing books, etc. Currently its a few anime and Jdrama titles and Re-ment (Japanese miniature food, not real food). This should last until I get back to my orchids... they need repotting.

    - Driving
    - Drinking
    - Golf
    - Fishing
    - Baseball
    - Football
    - Anime

This is in by no means in any particular order, nor is it a complete list.

Music. I try to have my earphones stuffed into my ears as many hours of the day as possible. The soundtrack helps me deal with the fact that reality sucks.

After that I'd say reading, be it fanfiction or books.

Third would be excessive Doctor Who watching.

Reading more than anything else. >_> My day isn't complete if I haven't read something. I do play games, but it always ends up falling back on reading.

Reading, drawing (a lot), and chatting (more like procrastinating) online with buds. Hehehe

Definitely reading, there are so many series out there that I have yet to get through. After that it's games, doing things with friends, etc. >_> I'm certainly not going to list other activities. :p

Well it's definitely non-alcoholic for me. :p Anyway, it's not so much as an escape as it's just finding something to do instead of declaring I'm bored. So when I have spare time it's spent either reading, playing games, cooking (I love to cook and try out new things) or spending time with friends.

Hehe . . . for me, drinking when I'm sad is just too depressing. Can't do it.

Thus . . . probably internet, gaming. That kinda stuff.

When I was really upset over a car accident, I locked myself in my room and devoured three books.

I'll either read, listen to music, or sleep. They're the only things I find myself doing when I'm upset anyways.

    If I'm restless, I'll draw. I don't know why.

If I can find a really good book to immerse myself in I'll do that all day long until I'm so wrapped up in that other world, I forget about everything else. Either that or I'll draw whilst listening to my music at an almost deafening volume.
