Here's my list of "eff yes" to what he mentioned in the article:
- Showers
- Toilets; although I gotta say I could never use the squat toilets. Tried once, and it didn't go over well.
- Mass Transit (Yamanote Line FTW, even if it is more expensive sometimes)
- Convenient stores and vending machines; gosh I miss these so damn much
