The first round didn't go according to plan, Sonic Youth were lucky not to be last, Dave struggled with the first round of mods on his cars despite Willow's mechanical skill, the issue being that Willow has never worked on anything so primitive, all of Dave's cars were pre 2000 and it showed, Gaz destroying him on the track multiple times with only minor improvements compared to what the data was predicting.
This caused some friction between Willow and Sujin as Willow ignored all her suggestions.
Coleen and Naoko had to carry the female team especially with Zoe sitting out injured while Jetstream and Jansen saved a complete failure from the mens side.
Jetstream took immense satisfaction rubbing it in Dave's face.
It made for a very downbeat flight to Norway as the next event was held at Norway's largest dock.
Sujin's transformation gained enough attention that she wasn't permitted to compete without an official medical from a BWI approved doctor, Dave curious to know why Sujin changed so drastically went to the clinic to see if he could find some answers, he bumped into a girl in a black bodysuit and black jacket with long red locks of hair, striking purple eyes and glasses, this was Larasu, Sonic Youth's gem specialist.
"Are you being naughty trying to peak at naked ladies?" Larasu teased.
"No I just want to know why Sujin changed so drastically" although the thought of Sujin naked couldn't stop Dave from blushing.
Larasu summoned many books using green energy almost like Green Lantern, opening them all with some sort of telekinesis.

Larasu threw Dave a Rubik Cube.
"So what are my powers? Can I fly, shoot Kamehamehas, create fire?" Dave asked excited.
"I wouldn't go that far, your first ability is "Silent Worker" your brain works independently from your soul, for instance while you've been talking to me, you've already solved that Rubik Cube I threw you" Larasu points to the cube, Dave jumped in shock seeing it solved already.
"When your soul and brain do align you can pretty much do anything, this makes you an ideal racer as only those with similar abilities can defeat you. Your second ability is "Safeguard" you project an aura which instantly calms situations down and makes people feel safe, although it's more common in women, it's rare appearance in men can make them desirable especially in the eyes of single mothers and those who want families" Larasu closes the books and puts them down.
It made sense in a way but Dave didn't really understand.
"In simple terms you can multitask and single mothers and wannabe mothers find you hot" Larasu cleans her glasses.
"If we're done, I've got more work to do, if you must know, Sujin's ability, it's called "Thermal" she can steal heat energy and project it, Willow has "Wind Current" she controls wind currents, Yuffie has "nocturnal vision" she can see at night, Naoko has "endurance" she has double the stamina of a regular human, Coleen has "Solar power" the sun give her energy meaning she doesn't need to eat during the day, I have "telekinesis" and a secret ability I'm not revealing this early in the story" Larasu teases Dave before pushing him out her office.
