You cook the rice with spices and stuff, as well as the beans. And my dad puts this yummy sausage in it too. :d Idk what spices are used because we just use the PACKAGED KIIIIND~
It's lazy, but it tastes good. :d

We have something similar called red beans and rice. :d But there's no coconut milk in it to my knowledge...

We only call it rice and peas. The coconut milk is used to season it when it's cooking. And the peas are red peas. I think in America they call them kidney beans?
