I hate to hear that you got hacked, Angel. That is never fun, and I think I would have been pretty upset with the person responsible. Joke or not, that’s not something someone should mess around with. ^^; I’m glad you were fortunate enough to recover your account here, and I hope you were able to do the same with your email.
You offered some excellent advice. I think whenever the internet is involved, people are always at risk, and I don’t think some take it as seriously as they should—especially with notorious Facebook. I see people giving out a lot more personal information than they should. It’s scary. The internet keeps me pretty paranoid. xD
I've had something similar happen to me, but it wasn't my site. I signed a petition for something, and the site that hosted it and all the personal information got hacked. The only thing I had on that site was my name and a very basic address with nothing too specific. However, it wasn't nice to be part of a site that got hacked and information may have been collected.
Anyways, good advice for everyone to keep in mind that a hacker can strike anywhere. Keep your computer and info safe, my friend!
Yikes, I'm glad your account is ok now... Thanks for the advice! I use different email addresses to prevent this stuff as much as I can... Plus my passwords are nice and tricksy XD
