'NBA legend' Abdul-Jabbar suffers pelvic fracture in fall

"Legendary" Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (76) of the National Basketball Association (NBA) was seriously injured in a fall accident.

According to ESPN and other foreign media on the 17th, Abdul-Jabbar had a fall the day before (16th) while visiting a concert hall in Los Angeles, California.

Abdul Jabbar was immediately transferred to nearby Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center after the accident. Abdul Jabbar was reportedly hospitalized after surgery for a fractured pelvis.

Abdul-Jabbar, who joined the Milwaukee Bucks in 1969, moved to the Los Angeles Lakers in 1975 and led the Lakers' heyday.
