I hope you enjoy K-ON!, it's a fun show. ^^
I've heard about Clannad, should I try to watch it?
If you like things that are drama/comedy/romance, then you should like it, or if you've seen Air or Kanon, because it's from the same people who made those too. Be prepared for major tissue moments too, because both seasons of Clannad have some real tearjerkers. ^^

Ouran, yet another shoujo anime that had to end too soon before the manga and had to leave off on a somewhat unsatisfactory ending. Oh wellz, it's still good.

Honestly, I didn't really get into Baccano! until around episode 6. I was really slow as to putting the whole story together, so those first 5 or so episodes were a big ? for me and I wasn't enjoying it much. But once things start to click, it becomes really worth watching.
I definitely got teary-eyed during that part as well. ^^ And someone had to pick up the slack from Sunohara. XD The start of Ep 14 when Akio and Tomoya are driving each other nuts calling each other "father" and "son" was a great moment too. And I love how calm Sanae always looks, taking everything in her stride. ^^

Tomoya's speech at Nagisa's graduation is the first really emotional scene in After Story for me -- not emotion brought about by story or plot but by real feeling and character. A tear or two was definitely shed after that episode. :)
And LOL, the baby announcement, drunk!Nagisa and rapper!Akio had me rolling. Akio really takes center stage as the comedy character once Sunohara graduates, haha.
I think Baccano gets a bit easier to follow after the first episode. That opener really confused the hell out of me, but the story is a bit more focused after that.
I'm watching Haruhi in the broadcast order. ^^ I haven't yet gotten into it's non-linear part yet, but I will when I watch it next time. I just hope I'm not left horribly confused by both shows. XP
Yay! You started Haruhi and Baccano! :D One of the more awesome parts of both series is their non-linear storytelling (unless you're watching Haruhi in DVD order instead of broadcast order) and the pure randomness that they emit.
