I prefer subtitles myself, but that's mainly because I'm trying to learn Japanese and it's the only way I get to hear it spoken. And sometimes, the dubbed voices can really be totally wrong to my ear. But... I would never spend any energy arguing about it.

it sounds like some people need to find better things to spend their time on. Since technology makes it simple for people to have either or, it shouldn't even be an issue. lol

I'm disappointed that these arguments are still going on. But being a Dragon Ball fan I actually see this quite often amongst those that prefer the Funimation dub and those the prefer the original Japanese (like myself)

When it comes to other anime I just watch the one I can enjoy better, and that's that.

It's just one of those things, yo. At this point it's up to whether you wanna be bothered to care anymore or not.

Some dubs are alright, while some are not. When the dubs fail, that's when the subs come in, right? It all falls down to personal preference. It's hard to work that one out in discussions.

i totally agree. i watch both though. it just depends on what anime it is, to which one i chose.

I'm fine with both sides. ^^ I know the argument will never die, but at the very least I'm sick of someone coming along every so often and trying once again to assert that all dubs suck. I would basically say to them, "You don't like dubs, that's fine. But in actual fact there are a lot of good dubs out there. It's just that you personally hate dubs no matter what. That is not enough of an argument to say that all dubs are bad."
