My thoughts on it so far mainly consist of WTF. XD But I've been interested in seeing it for a long time, so I'll just strap in and enjoy whichever way the ride takes me. ^^
I'm loving Princess Nine. Probably helps that I have a dub rip. ^^

Yeah, one of the great things about Utena is that you will very rarely have it pinned down. There is just so much variety, and the style is so interesting that it all holds together when it could easily fall apart.
Speaking as someone who is near the end of both Toradora! and Lovely Complex, I think the latter is a step or two below -- it's about as funny as Toradora!, but its drama isn't quite as deep and its cast of characters isn't quite as appealing. Risa and maybe Nobuko and Haruka (you'll meet him later) are the only ones who would really fit in well in Toradora! and those last two just as comedy characters, ala Haruta and Noto. Lovely Complex is quite good at what it does, though, and I've enjoyed watching it throughout its showings at the Anime Club.
I kind of like Gundam 00's new ED, although I do agree that the overall tone does not really fit in with the spirit of the show.

@TwistedCyberChick:
It's an OK song, it's just not right for the show. ^^;

Ufufu, I've probably said this before, but I always love reading people's thoughts on Utena. :3 Nice to see someone enjoying Princess Nine, too.

"Is it a crime to just stick with one set of perfectly good themes through an entire series? Meh."
Chaser, yes it is. Check the unwritten anime laws. When you like something, it has to change.

The change in Toradora's tone was subtle and refreshing. The show's maturing as the characters do. Now for the big finish.
I actually really enjoy the second Gundam ending. Of course, that's because I intend to learn how to sing it. =P
